Rock on!

Alright, I give up.

I'm beyond frustrated and I just can't find any documentation on how to upload a game variant (and map to go with it) to a new thread on Bungie.net. I can make a new post in the Halo 3 forum, but I can't seem to find any way to make a thread in the community files and for the life of me I can't see what I've put in my file share from this end. I put the relevant files in my file share from the xbox360 end, but I can't get any further. None of the FAQs I've read seem to give any information on how to do this.

I'd really appreciate a little how-to to put me on the right track. Please help me. Thanks!

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Click on the Halo 3 link up at the top right of the page. From there you'll see "Halo 3 Service Record". Click on the second link down, which says "File Share". In there you will see the items which you have uploaded to your file share. (I took a glance at your profile and you have some items in there, so it looks like everything is uploading correctly.) Under each item, you will see a link that says "Publish to Forums". Just click that link and you will be prompted to create a thread. In case you miss the link, the page will look pretty similar to [urlhttp://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o170/akurei77/Perma_li nk/Bnet_Publish.jpg]this[/url]. It will just say "Forums" instead of "Community Screenshots".

Out of curiosity, did you read either of the guides that were posted in the Screenshots and Films forums? I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, I just want to know if anything needs to be done to make them more helpful.

Rock on!

Thanks a million! I hadn't looked into the screenshots and films forums, because that's not what I was trying to upload; I read the map and game variant guides and didn't see that kind of information there. That little Halo 3 link would've eluded me for a while. I figured it just linked to the Halo 3 forums so I never tried it.

Thanks again for the help!

Rock on!

Hm, something else just occured to me, and I haven't found any answer in the film or screenshot FAQs either. When I publish something from my file share to the forum, do I need to keep it in my file share forever so the link doesn't die, or can I clear the space for new stuff?

Thanks again!
