Freedom isn't free. Nor does it come with ease. So is it really worth fighting for? Is it worth dying for?

Has anyone noticed that in the Halo 2 multiplayer clips, the warthog has a rocket launcher where as in the E3 2003 trailer, the warthog has more of a laser turrent. Anyway, which one do you guys think should be the one that is used?

i originaly thought it was a rail gun, but after looking at some footage of the e3'04 demo, they changed it to the rocket launcher, it has the same design and skin as the railgun fro mthe e3'03 demo.

The weapon on the warthog in the e3 2003 demo was a Gauss gun. Some of the mods here confirmed it a while ago.

A gauss gun is freaky. It's like steel wool except looser and all the threads are so thin that they'll cut through just about anything. (think of a katana only a hundred times sharper) Then use magnets to pull it along inside the barrel and launch it at your enemies. That's a gauss gun.

Pretty toy neh?

a rail gun works on the same principles of a gauss gun but i think it fires a heavier projectile

they both would hurt... a LOT

Well since Halo 2 is going to have a butt-load of new vehicles, I'm guessing they will use all the Warthogs.

I'm taking note of my surroundings, Ahhhh, I'm surrounded by idiots. People, that is a rocket launcher in the E3 2003 video. It is sort of a rail rocket launcher. Has anyone noticed that it's shots BLOW up, or that Bungie SAID that it is a ROCKET LAUNCHER. It is a special one that doesn't take for ever to hit the target because it is not fuel driven. It is sort of like a Grenade launcher with rockets. Please people, think.

I'd rather use a mounted rail gun that the 'gauss' gun. Rail slugs, in theory, are able to be equipped with explosive warheads. That would be bad ass. Anyone who read the books, think of the MACs. How about one of those on a Hog(even tho that also uses the same concept was the rail gun).

Sort of like a grenade launcher with rockets...sounds fuel driven to me. Calm down yo, chill out.

Actually, that seems to be the Warthog that was used in The Flood novel. It is an auto-cannon or rail-gun type thing (I dont remember what they actually called it).

I think the "rail gun" warthog looked alittle too unbalanced in the E3 2004 Demo. It hit enemies almost instantly like a bullet, and it destroyed ghosts with one or two shots!

Yes it did, but that was just a demo. It would suck for them to be showing that and having it take like 4 shots to take the ghost out. When the game actually ships it will be a lot different.

Really, what the hell is a turrent. I've heard of current, but not turrent. People need to know how to spell, it's really confusing.

Don't go calling people idiots when you can't even tell the difference between a rocket launcher and a gauss gun. The warthog in the e3 2003 video most definately did not have a rocket launcher, it had a gauss gun.
