Alright you candy yams. The Matrix Trilogy. Over half of you nay sayers probably never saw/understood the Animatrix or played Enter the Matrix. You guys were to busy loving all of the COOL karate stuff and bullet time in the first movie to even notice the concept of the Matrix.

One guy posted that the second movie dealt too much with love. This is a guy that wanted more bullet time and karate stuff. Love was the WHOLE point of the Matrix Trilogy. If you wanted action watch Revolutions. Better yet, watch the second DVD for Reloaded and listen to K. Reeves talk about how there was 3x more martial arts movements in the Burly Brawl than in the entire 1st Matrix movie.

Lastly, if you watch the 1st and 2nd Renaissance of the Animatrix, you will understand that the humans can never defeat the machine army. The entire human race lost the 1st war, how in the world can Zion beat them. The ending was very realistic.

Thank you, there really arent a whole lot of people out there who enjoyed the Matrix trilogy as much as me

Thank you, Ted. That was the joke.

If only Bungie made sci-fi movies....

No one here has really mentioned good action movies. I'ma name some.

Payback: In my humble opinion, Mel Gibson's best pure action flick (Braveheart doesn't count, and even though I love the Lethal Weapon series, they don't have Hendrix in their soundtrack). Snappy dialogue, an absurdly entertaining plot, killer soundtrack, and some very clever Mel Gibson-related violence make this movie rock.

The Transporter: A slightly -blam!- sounding techno soundtrack (sorry...not much of a techno fan here) was the only real setback in this movie for me. Awesome guns, sweet fight scenes, and a cool main character who has a sweet car=great popcorn flick.

Die Hard: sorry, y'alls, but to me, this is the undisputed king of all action movies (along with its sequels). Bruce Willis is totally badass, and the scene in the first movie where he kills the guard, dresses him in a Santa suit, and sends him down the elevator to the German bad guys with the message "Ho ho ho now I have a machine gun" is priceless. Hail to the king.

Bleh, can't remember any more off the top of my head.

Starship Troopers, if handled under a better director, woulda been the best sci-fi flick out there. Unfortunately, it was more cheesy than cool (why, in the name of all that's sacred and holy, would the most highly trained elite squad of Marines use mass fighting tactics? C'mon! The director was in the Dutch Royal Marines for two years, you'd think he'd know how to make soldiers fight like they're supposed to!), but I still like it. But, Aliens takes the cake as far as Sci-fi movies go. So...freaking...awesome...

DISCLAIMER: This is all just my opinion. Don't flame me.

I'd say Battlestar Galactica, but I don't know if that has a movie.

Primer was terrible. I understood it, but it was still stupid. Going by their rules, it didn't make sense. Anyway, what about Brazil? It was old iscrazy and sci-fi ish. It made no sense. Not in the Primer, stupid way, but in the funny, RvB way. Check it out. I think Blockbuster and Hollywood have it. I would consider Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind a sci-fi, too. It is also romance and a little comedy, but the overall concept is sci-fi ish. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. Go and rent that, too.
