Hey guys put the Donuts down and the Moutain Dew. I just to be able to have more options for my Halo 3 symbol. Why can't we incorporate our own gamertag pic's

Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they're out to get you, it means you think you matter.

My Stats->My Bungie.net Settings->Avatar and Background->Use Halo 3 Emblem.

Unless he means the Xbox Live Gamerpics. You can't use those here.

I'm sorely tempted to just post "LOL N00b". However, then I'd have to ban myself.

As posted above, you do indeed have the ability to use either your Halo 2 or Halo 3 multiplayer badge as your userpic. As for other images available for gamertags, well, very few of them are Bungie themed... and this is a Bungie site, so (aside from the infrequent picture used by Bungie staff, moderators, and theme builders here) pictures of J. Random Vidcharacter don't really belong.

-- Steve will point out that insulting someone and expecting them to do you a favour is far more symptomatic of carotid-artery-clogging behaviour than restrictions on user pictures.

Thor I think you are underestimating how much Bungie has actually worked on making the halo 3 emblems the most customizable and unique system in any video game. If you are talking about your Avatar on the forums, I am pretty sure that they do that so that on every board you dont have to use more bandwidth by loading one thousand avatars that link to a million off-site links, some animated, some not. Its really just like this to make the site run faster.

Speaking of theme's, will we ever be able to have a themebuilder again? Or is this a stosh question?

Yeah, that's a stosh question. Or maybe even an Achronos question... but his plate's kinda full.

I think its a combination of Bungie not wanting people to have GoW avatars and a legal issue. All the avatars on xbox.com and xbl are probably under some copyright law and if Bungie was to use them, especially now when theyre not owned by M$ anymore, there could be problems.
