i don't think so but dont worry, halo 2 is gonna be much better then other live games one of that reasons is that it will definetely have a lot less lagg!

I also hope bungie will put up with a lot of servers just like in halo pc!

I was playing Halo online with the Gamespy tunnel and my ping was really high, so I assume I should be able to play Halo 2 with no lag, since they're custom tailoring the game for online play :)

the reason i asked was becoz i live in New Zealand, and i will surely play in american servers,(thats like halfway around the world) but if u live in america as well u wont notice the lag as much as i do...We have 256k...and one more thing? what do u mean by Halo2 servers that bungie are putting up? Im only guessing that it would be great for getting less lag.

hopefully not, everytime I get lag ina game it is usually due to the server that is having the issues... (actually, they were all because of the server....)

So don't worry about lag methinks... I don't think we'll be running our own servers either... Because I don't see how it is possible any other way when they released info stating:

"When the server host leaves, someone else in the server will take over hosting abilities"

Twelve Large ²

An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.

I'd rather them just give us number readouts rather than this red, yellow, green -blam!-. Hell, for all we know "green" could be anywere in the range of 1ms - 100ms, and that can be a pretty big difference when we start talking about competitive performance, imo.

PING- Packet INternet(INformation) Groper, A protocol that sends a message to another computer and waits for acknowledgment, often used to check if another computer on a network is reachable.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it is the time it takes to send information from you to the server and back measured in nano seconds. Therefore you want a low ping.

No offense to you Spartan 0029, but the reason Xbox Live does not show Ping in games is for people like this that don't know what it means. We all understand green good and red bad. It is fine making the games user friendly I trust the game designers to choose appropriate color coding for pings.
