I still don't quite understand why you would only want flood regulars to be in it. I guess it doesn't really matter, though. It's your game, you can choose who you want to play.

Its not that. Its that this started in the Flood forum, and all the member slots were promptly filled.

Okay, that makes some sense then. It's just that in your first post, you made it seem like this game would only be open to flood regulars, which isn't too fair.

I'm sorry, this really wasn't my idea to begin with. Its just that somebody had this idea in the flood forum, and it was decided that someone was going to post this in the community forum where the moderators would see it. By the time I had this posted, over 20 people from the Flood forum had signed up. I didn't mean for it to sound like it was discriminating or sounding elitist.

Might as well change the title to "12 year old emo losers Vs Moderators custom game"

Oh! I have an Idea, lets go make a Bungiepedia V Bungie.Net Mods match.

Actually, it almost is a "Staff Vs. Staff" thing. Hehe. Seriously though, we're all Bungie.net Members. All this fractioning is just stupid. It's like a high school. And last I checked, I hated high school.

Yeah, I'm not sure about this one.
Let the mods decide for themselves, I guess, but I don't think it's a good idea to hold another game so soon and by someone else. I think that the mods and members alike both agreed that muffin man one did a good job organzing the game, and that we'd like him to organize another one soon. Not only that, but he also did this once in the past.

I think that by allowing the Flood to their own match would start an infinite chain of "I WAN PLAY MODZ" threads. Having one well-arranged game or series of games would work much better, and lucky for us, that series of games is already in effect by muffin man one.

Not only that, but I think that those who frequent the Community forum are generally the best candidates to play anyway.

The Frozen Minority; Bungie's real underground. The oldest members, the deepest controversy, walking infamy.

Teams of four are possible. Teams of 8 are not.

I do not believe 8 moderators regularly play, or at least in the same circles or timezones.

4v4v4v4 multi-team would be interesting...

Well, that's the exclusion I'm talking about. I think everyone should have a chance to sign up and play. Of course, if you're not interested enough in the community to come to the Septagon, I guess you're not interested enough to participate in Community activities. Those hiding in groups and other forums exclusively, miss out, for a good reason, too.

What no big team. Pfft! That's the only way The Flood has played in our get togethers. No seriously, we are 10 and 0 against the rest of the intrawebz last time I checked.

Exactly, and the reason that I said that was because there had to be some place to host the event. I can understand that most Floodians probably didn't catch the game announcement until it was full, but given that games such as this are community activities, the Community Forum would be the best place to host them. Generally that means that regulars to this forum would get in first, but those people are probably more active in the Community anyway, and everyone still is invited and has a chance to get in.

That's not necessarily true. Whoever runs it is probably going to pick whomever they want to play. I was on the first page of the last one, and didn't get a spot. I'm not as upset at the fact I didn't play, but at the favoritism it showed. Then again, favoritism is everywhere, so it should have been expected.

I wasn't aware that we weren't allowed to organize an event.

Honestly, if all you're going to do is come into this thread and COMPLAIN that you can't play, and overall just subtly flame the idea, then GTFO and let us do what we came here to do. The people who are on the member list SIGNED-UP before I made this thread in here. Get over your damned elitism.

Can we all stop this petty argument?
Honestly, if this is a good idea it will succeed, if not, it will fail. We don't need predictions from people on why it would fail. Just let it happen and let the people participating decide for themselves. Let it run its own course.

I say we wait till a mod says something before everyone gets too ahead of themselves.
They have not agreed nor disagreed to join in this event.

I never signed up, but apparently I'm on the list. Cool I guess.

I like to think I frequent every forum. I don't think I'm a 'Flood regular' or a 'Community regular.' I'm just me, Duardo, a B.net member like everyone else. I think the title, 'Flood vs Modz' is a bit stupid. Like SS_Zag said, it's stupid and feels like high school when people think that they are only part of one forum, and high school was stupid. If anything, this should be 'Bnet Members vs Moderators II.' Just my opinion.

Boo! Advertising! Boo!

On the whole bungie.net members/Flood thing, it spawned out of The Flood playing the interwebz in big team. Well, our pride has been swelled, and the internet wasn't much of a challenge, so we decided to choose another target. We chose the mods: This has really been whispered about for quite a while now, it was just now made a thread.

Let them fend for themselves! It would be a show in itself, like that movie with Stone Cold Steve Austin, but with better acting.

Whoa, whoa! Hold on.

I think you misunderstood me. I was just questioning the name, "Flood vs. Moderators". If you want to host the event, that's great! It's a good way to get people involved and have fun together as a community. :D I'm talking about including the community as a whole, not excluding everyone but the Flood.

Please, don't misunderstand my intent. I really think this is a great idea, and I'm not asking for a spot. I just got whooped so bad in the last one I don't think I'd feel right playing against the moderators for awhile.

I think a more logical comparison would be Lord of the Flies.
