Because you are what you eat, and you know what it is.

Someone posted embarassing pictures of a certain member, and I believe that it should be a rule that no member can post a picture of another member without that member's consent. This is ridiculous for someone's reputation to be ruined by someone that tries to be funny.

It is against the rules, which is why that person will be BL'd if he/she posts a negative pic of another member. If your asking Bungie to make it illegal for a member to post a pic without consent, then that's not going to fly. This is not a court of law, it's a video game forum.

If another member got the pic off your Myspace page, or another public site, then that's the victim's fault for making the pics public.

It isn't right. The person doesn't even know about it. And it isn't even the first time it happened.

Report the thread and a mod will take the pic down.

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

When are people going to realize that anything they put on the internet is pretty much open to the public for taking?

When are people going to realize that taken material is then open to scrutiny and ridicule (and sometimes photoshopping)?

When are people going to realize that they should care less about what random people on a random site think or say?

I won't debate right or wrong, but I can say stupid.

Are you saying it's her fault that someone manually changed the url in the address bar looking for something?

I'm also pretty sure you'd care if someone posted pictures you don't want them to see for the very purpose of humiliation. You can say that what other people think doesn't matter, but the fact is it does.

I agree that I wouldn't want people to be able to mess with a picture of me, and that I would be upset. That is why I don't tell anyone who I don't know how to get any picture of me. It's stupid to even allow anyone to have a chance at that, unless you don't care. Then it's all fun and games.

If another member got the pic off your Myspace page, or another public site, then that's the victim's fault for making the pics public.

The pictures were taken from a private Photobucket and hosted on another site. The photobucket has since been deleted.

Then how did this person get the pic? Most people don't know that if they post a photobucket (or other photo sharing site) pic, that people then have access to other pics they uploaded. There's no such thing as expressed consent for public pics, unless you take the time to get them copywrited like a commerical photo or video.

If this person hacked into her photobucket account, then I'd bring that up to the people at photobucket and see if they can pursue legal action.

You missed the point like Vader missed the banshee, your whole argument is covered in bees.
Stop sending me group invites -blam!-s!

Pics or it didn't happen.

Kidding aside, anyone doing that should be perma-banned.

Either way, I'm ugly as dirt. So there's really no way to post an embarrassing pic of me >_>

The internet is like a library. You can bury a picture in an old dusty book that hasnt been looked at in 30 years but that doesnt insure that someone wont find it and possibly use it. It may be a bad analogy, but it works for me.

Also, I wouldnt care what pictures people post of me on the internet, even if their sole purpose for doing so is ridicule. I simply dont care. If by chance there were pictures of me I wouldnt want people to see, I sure as hell wouldnt post them on the internet. I'm sure your mom wouldnt want me to post them either! =)

I'm not advocating what was done, but I feel that this should be more of a lesson learned on her part.

Hey! You're an alt! It also seems you're banned since your join date is fairly recent. And since you seem to be advocating those who preformed these actions, you are probably in league with them.
Shut up ToP Chester, you fail at acting smart on an alt.
