At e3 the bungie guy stated that in halo 2 it is worth picking up, infering that it wasnt in halo 1. Do you agree?
Personnally i think its great no better way to kill an elite, it goes straight through their armour and kills them quickly. As long as you have the cover and range the needler can be great. It does however take a while to explode so its worth having some cover otherwise u can get shot reloading. Your thoughts?

I can't stand the gun what so ever. I would take any gun other than it. It's the easiest gun to dodge, but if you can get the whole clip to actually stick to the enemy then yes it is an okay gun.

o crap i thot u where talkin about multiplayer. well disregard the elite vote i say it good in some circumstances. i love emtying a round on a grunt who just lost a teammate grunt (who was carying grenades) and watch him freak out. and the bonus rewards is watching him fly twice as high.

i think that the needler has always proven more effective for me on legendary and maybe heroic, its easier to take out an elite and as bonus points you can get a few extra grunts that are to close

i dont think the needler is effective for multiplayer because people can outrun them, but if there is someone standing still trying to scope in on someone else with a sniper then that is ur weapon

The new needler looks awsome. The projectiles are much faster and can do more dammage, with a longer clip.

I love the purple explosions and the look on people's faces when you kill them with one. The needles do travel slow though... and the explosion takes too long...

I personally suck with the needler, it's a good weapon when you know how to use it, but i'm not particularly good at it. I am the master of the plasma rifle, shotgun, assault rifle, and pistol

me if i had to choose a plasma gun it would be the plasma rifle just because it is fast powerful and dose require contenus pulling of the trigger (a.k.a plasma pistol) but i personaly think that the needler dose so little damage that you would half to unload a hole clip in a elite to half way take him down

If you know how to use the needler, then its a good weapon

I absolutely adore the needler on hang 'em high, if you get behind someone and empty a clip into their back it's way easier than chasing them for a melee or using a plasma gernade.
The kill by pink explosion is comedy for the whole team, give it a go.

Having said thet I usually die if it's a head on fight, stick with the pistol and switch to needler if you get an opening.

Then you probably haven't put 6 needles or more in an enemy. Try it, then come back and see what you think.

the plasma rifle isnt that good actually, a lot of the shots stray off target and i can fire the pistol way faster with the bonus of a power charge,.. and the absolute worst gun for noobs in halo is the assault rifle,. most inaccurate piece of crap ive ever seen....
