Wow, so you have no problem implementing a whole new playlist but you can't muster up the time to even fix the existing crappy playlists? Awesome. Oh wait, I forgot, you need to "gather more data" before you can determine that Oddball FFA isn't fun.
I find FFA Oddball fun. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that others don't like it. They're doing what they can.
Here's my guess as to what's going on. Getting information on Halo 3 online, to be as accurate as possible to fix playlists and find people who are cheating. Working on new maps, and map variants. Working on at least a few new armor permutations. Then also doing the Holiday things, to help keep people happy whilst working on the other things.
They're probably working on at least one other game as well.
This is still a new game, let there be sufficient feedback before they act. Without enough info, you can make big mistakes. Also, with this game still being so new, let them have a break if they so wish. You're here, so you must like their work. Now, cut them some slack. I find immature and annoying when people complain about something right away. This is still early enough to be considered right away. Back off, and let them do their work. Pressuring and bugging them will not make things happen any faster.
I know it's not my place to say any of this, but I like Halo 3 and Bungie. If it even gets a few people to stop saying the same things over and over, and complaining when they already know that some people aren't happy, then I will have feel that I've done some good. I don't think that they are god-like or anything, but I do like what has been achieved. I personally am happy with what we have right now, and when more comes along, I'd like it to be of good quality, and not just new stuff that's crap. I really believe that is what they are trying to do. Not just make some maps in a week, have the textures be whatever, and have those maps be bland and unfair, maybe even full of glitches. The new ones will be creative, debugged, balanced, and what many will expect from Bungie (quality-wise).
To All of Bungie, Keep up the good work. I cannot wait to see what you are working on, be put into play, but I guess I'll have to.
To Complainers out there (Including TheBigShow), Stop whining. Get over yourselves and try being constructive. You most likely have a better chance of helping things along by voicing your opinions and/or problems in a more professional way, and being more descriptive. Also, appreciate what there is, or you might as well stop playing (at least until new content is out).
