You should still be able to save it.
Are you having trouble saving it to your hard drive, or uploading it to the site?

I believe that if you go to the Theater Lobby, and then select Recent Films you may save your film to your Hard Drive. Once that is done, simply select the video from your hard drive and put it on your file share. Log onto Bungie.net with your account that is linked or associated with that Xbox Live gamertag and post it in the Community Films forum here. Because this thread is not directly related to 7th Column or the Bungie.net Community, I would be more than happy to further assist you through the private message system. Thank you.

Linking him to the Community Films forum does not do any good until he can post the video there, CG.

To post a video, you have to click on "Halo 3" in the top right of any page while you're logged in, then click on "File Share." From there you can find videos on your file share and click on "Publish to Forums" below the item you want to share with us.

If you're having trouble putting the file in your share, it's in the start menu in Halo 3 under "File Share." You just select a slot and then add the video.

Actually it does because it directs him to the three sticky threads that he should read before deciding to publish his film or film clip to the forums. One of the sticky threads, which can be found here not only tells him exactly how to save his film and load it on his file share, but it also explains exactly what to do on Bungie.net to publish his film or film clip to the forums. Linking him to the forum allows him to see all three stickies, in which I felt were equally important.

Kind of odd in my opinion that those stickies are there, since you don't need to ever actually open the forum to make a thread there. People likely will post at least one file before they see the sticky, since they can do it directly from the file share. But that's neither here nor there.

I think, though, that even though the OP could have read the stickies, he's asking a question and it should be answered fully rather than use references all the time - look here, go here - etc. (or, if not, at least mention to read the stickies. You just linked to the forum without mentioning it). Besides, CG, from the posts of yours that I have read, I know how good you are at copying and pasting text.

Anyway, OP, if you look at this topic again, you should read aku's guide about posting files (linked above) and make sure you know the rules before replying to any topics in the forum, including your own.
Also, tell us if you got it working.

Those stickies are there for a reason and when I linked him to the forum, I was implying that he should read the stickies, because those would answer his question and inform him of additional information that could only benefit him. This thread is off topic, so instead of discussing the entire issue and going into to detail I offered to further assist him by using the private message system. I apologize for not making all of my posts as clear and concise as they can be, but that doesn't necessarily give you a reason to bring a separate issue up about myself.

Most of my posts are written in my own words and my intention is none other than helping others. If I feel that I can't describe something to the best of my ability, I may take something that one of the administrators said and include that. And when I do that, I will usually quote them as well, even though not all of my posts are quoted because they were found here on Bungie.net. I am sorry if I did something to offend you in anyway, but it seems that you think what I am doing is wrong, when in fact I feel that you are overlooking my intention, which is offering my help to other Bungie.net members.
