"I'm tired of the elitism."
"You're all B.netters, just get along!"
"Forum fractioning is stupid, it's like high school cliques all over again."

I used to be one of those people. One of the one's against forum fractioning. Now? I'm definitely not for it, but I'm not spouting about how stupid it is either. I guess there is a little bit of elitism here, since I view the Flood as a better community than any of the others.
You idiots out there, spewing unwanted garbage about how forum fractioning is just as bad as high school cliques, how it's stupid, how it shouldn't happen, shut up. You're morons, I'm sorry, get over it. Why? How many of you "Septagonians" frequently go to the Flood? How many of you Floodians frequently go to the Halo 3 forum? See where I'm going? How many of you can legitimately say you are an active member of each forum?

SS_Zag1, I'm calling you out here. You're replies to Blimper's thread about Floodians vs. Mods were atrocious.

And somehow The Flood fall into a different category than the Bungie.net members? Please.

The above statement, for example, is just asking for a fight. No, Floodians are not under a different category than Bungie.net members, they're just different Bungie.net members.
And then, you say this?!

Not only that, but I think that those who frequent the Community forum are generally the best candidates to play anyway.

Well, that's the exclusion I'm talking about. I think everyone should have a chance to sign up and play. Of course, if you're not interested enough in the community to come to the Septagon, I guess you're not interested enough to participate in Community activities. Those hiding in groups and other forums exclusively, miss out, for a good reason, too.

We aren't hiding in groups or other forums, we're participating in THE MOST INTERESTING FORUMS. Obviously that is a matter of opinion, but still.... C'mon.
And you know what? Us Floodians are our own community. We talk with each other, play with each other, joke around, etc.
We.Have.Fun.Together.
I don't see the Halo 3 forum trying to be all chummy with us Floodians, I don't so you helping the problem by calling our, my, community out like that.

You know what? These are like high school groups. Bungie.net is like the high school, the Flood is like one group of friends, the Septagon another, Halo 3 yet another.

Are Floodians better than Septagonians? No. They're different. My kind of different. and that's why I frequent there.

Now, SS_Zag1, I don't want you to feel like I'm just mad at you, you were just the most convenient example at this time. Yes, I am mad at you, but it's not just you, so don't get overly offended.

My bottom line is, leave us alone. We wanted to have a game with just Floodians and Mods, that has nothing to do with Floodians being in a different category than any other community here.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

0.o

You've got to be kidding me.

You think I didn't anticipate people ranting and raving about this?

This is a rant, this isn't trolling.

Use apostrophes.

I don't see the Halo 3 forum trying to be all chummy with us Floodians

All I see is 'Floodians' trying to troll the Halo 3 forums.

Also, I post a lot in the Flood and some consider me a 'Floodian,' but I've spent far more time in the Halo 3 forum.

Zag can speak for himself, but all I think he was trying to say was that it's better to give the whole community a chance to play in your custom match with the mods, rather than just the Floodians. I don't think there was anything malicious in his comment.

I should've stated it more clearly, but this isn't only pointed towards Zag. He's just a convenient example, it's aimed more towards the communities as a whole.

sorry for my stupidity.

More seriously, how do you suppose to get into a community event when you don't check the COMMUNITY forum.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Mildly tangential question: Who decides who is a Floodian, and how does he/she/they decide who is or is not?

i suppose it would be a "floodian" match if they posted the announcement in the flood, thus ensuring the floodians would fill it.

I suppose you decide for yourself if you are a floodian or not.

It's not a definite line, just like the cliques in high school.

There are always exceptions and undefineds. Even if that isn't a word.

Thanks for the apology.
Seriously, most people don't have the balls to apologize.

And like I said in my main post, each of these forums, whether you (maybe not you) like it or not, are communities in themselves.

Yes but this one is Titled the community forum aka its official. If mods bend the official rules then we're all screwed.

Thanks for accepting an apology most people don't have the balls to do that either.
