I've noticed a low frequency of locks, for threads that are ageenst da policy, ya mean? It's down to certain mods who rarely visit a forum to be more frequently visiting those forums. And now Achronos actually going about locking? I have a hunch something is goin' on, do tell. ^_^ .b

I think he did it manually with the space bar.

As I've said a bazillion times before, there's a fine line between having "not enough mods" and having "too many mods". Mods will start to bump heads if there's too many of them.

Right now we're just a little below that line, but that's a temporary situation (due to personal issues on all fronts). Everything will be back to normal momentarily.

Just something I've noticed through out the period of time visiting here, that there's unusual moderator patterns. And one thing I might want to know, is why all this time someone has just now noticed me indenting paragraphs. Especially when I made the thread &nbsp

I know you have hidden policies about moderator selection and rot... But how do you have too much of an unpaid staff? "Bumping heads" sounds like miscommunication put differently. ^_^ .b

That does seem to happen frequently. I can't imagine one more moderator (it should be easy to find one member that is really trusted around here) would just smooth out that dip we get every few weeks.

Of course, that's off-topic. Nothing's going on. I think the mods who 'usually hang out in one forum' and Achronos lock a lot more threads than you think, they just don't post about it every time. ;)

It's three moderators moving or locking a thread at the same time. Moving is really messy, because it leaves all these redirection threads that just lead to more redirection threads. Until we get our own little IRC channel where we can tell each other what's going down, that's something we have to avoid.

Just out of curiosity, how hard would it be for you guys to get somewhere to do that? I guess that's one more thing you guys have to do when you sign in, but still, I think that'd be best for the mods. There's so many servers out there, I'm sure you guys could find somewhere that would let you all have a private channel.

Easily. But it's rather impractical because we don't really need to talk to each other that often. Anytime we do it can be done over MSN or in HFCS.

I was being hopelessly optimistic. It'd probably fall flat on its face, just like the Google Chat thing did.

What about http://www.chatzy.com/? It seems like something any "unsavy" person could use and seems efficient enough for the task. Just have it so when you go into "moderator mode" you sign into whatever room that your crew makes, and regardless to rather other moderators are there or not, you stay in their.

because if seeing is believing,

The mods have more important things in life than to babysit us. I know this place isn't their first priority. Just report mischevious things on the forums, and it will get taken care of.

All the more reason to have more moderators, yes? Anyways, you make it seem like I made this topic out of being antagonized, to be frank, I'm not concerned even if there are a certain kind of spin or roll flogging about the forum. I'm just bringing the issue to question, merely because I noticed a shift in pattern.

Things do get in the way, but not every mod can't be here at the same time. Reporting things and not feeding the trolls will help the problem go away a lot faster.
