First of all: Please forgive me if this isn't quite the right forum to post this topic in. I looked around and tried to find the best 'match' for my topic.

Anyway, I was just curious whether anyone could tell me why the following thread was locked:

http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=14151743

I want to know not because I'm pissed (at most, I'm a little surprised and disappointed), but because it was evidently not appropriate in some way and I prefer to learn from my mistakes.

So what's wrong with that post or thread? Title not descriptive enough? 'Hopper issues' not quite something to be discussed in the Optimatch forum? Too close to some other thread? Or is there something else that I'm missing?

Anyway, just curious. Thanks.

2. Subject lines for posts will include the complete topic to be discussed. Posts that are vague and/or cryptic in an attempt to get people to click through will be deleted and posters actioned against. Your subject is what we will see first and should serve as a thesis statement to your post. "So, Bungie..." is a pristine example of how not to post.
The text in bold highlights exactly where you went wrong. You probably didn't see the new sticky posted today, which may be found here. Try posting the thread with a subject line that is well though out and describes the topic you wish to discuss.

Well, crap. I thought about my thread title when I was writing it, but I didn't want it to be, 'So, Bungie-- Whatever happened with the Infection playlist hopper issues we were experiencing last night?' and I didn't want to have the title be 'Hopper issues' or something similar, because that would (in my opinion) be somewhat misleading to the topic at hand.

Anyway, lesson learned. Would it be inadvisable for me to re-post the thread shortly with a new, more complete topic line? I'm really curious to see what, if anything, Bungie has to say about the issue.
