Yea..i used to play that alot before Xbox released thier live service. It was fun but kinda lame, all the games were either BG CTF, Rat Race slayer, and Chillout Slayer. After a long time its starts to drain you. but when everyone had a full game ov 8v8 the good times never ended. Seemed like 1 game would take up to 1-2 hours.

I remember the days of Halo CE on Gamespy or XBConnect, literally the most fun I have ever had! Now I really like Halo 2 and I love Halo 3, but I had NEVER seen anything like Halo CE and playing online with 15 other people was insane. Blood Gulch ctf! Life doesnt get much better! Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they're out to get you, it means you think you matter.

Too bad it lagged so much for me. You had to have a godlike connection to actually sit in one game :(

I'm not opinionated, I'm just always right.

Ah those were teh days. My friends and I played it all the time, the lag when in somebody elses games was annoying, and the times when not many people were playing sucked, but Halo CE had no multiplayer built in and when we didn't have a lan party to go to, XBC was the next best thing :)

My friend and I would do 2v6 or more in order for the other team to even have a chance.

Yeah I remember games that took hours and hours to end. You could end up with over 200 kills each on a team of 4. Really quite nuts. I must admit that XB Live has so much more depth and development but it was all we had at the time and it was plenty fun!

"...what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Good times, good times. Too bad Halo CE isn't on LIVE.

Shotguns on Longest, JEEPS on BG, CTF on Sidewinder/ BG, STICKY G's on Hang Em High....the list goes on.

Placing all vehicles inside a base on BG...getting on top of the map in Sidewinder and BG...SKEET shooting flyers with TANKS...

The list goes on and on...

GEEZ I forgot about the Vehicles in the bases! That was classic! And the pistol! The almighty-beats everything pistol! Hangem High ctf was great too! It was all good! It set such a high standard for Halo 2.

Please Bungie, redeem yourself w/ Reach.
Halo 2 and 3 both stink out loud.
In the immortal words of Mr Horse: Halo 2? No sir, didn't like it.

I played it but unless the host had an AWESOME upload it was laggy. Heck even with that it wasn't like playing on a LAN. But it was better than nothing.

I hope someday H:CE makes it's way to XBL. That and a map creator would make me the happiest guy.

I seriously needed to update my signature. I'll never forget it, though.

I used too...

Now, I'll go there and there is never people who just play for fun anymore. It's "Whoever gets the lowest score gets booted" type of gameplay.

I am a Floodian

I never played. From what I heard I wish I had though.
