The question should be 'when', not 'are they'... Think about it for a second... Would you pass up the opportunity to double or treble your takings? Me thinks not.

The only reason that it's only available on the 'Box is for marketing purposes. Only make it available for that, you sell more 'Boxes... When that slows down, guess what? It's on the PC!

There is no loyalty coming from these companies... It's all about the money...

I would like to say that this has been discussed many times, and Microsoft is in this for the long run, and frankly they will make more money in the future if they don't release it for PC; although I hope they do.

Makes perfect sense... NOT!

At the end of the day, with a name like that how can you say such drivel? There are WAY more Halo players on PC than there will ever be on the 'Box, so on what do you base your comment?

There is no way on god's green earth that a greed driven company such as Microsoft would ignore this amount of revenue...

Explain...

you do know that halo has sold more copies on xbox than pc, so y do you keep saying pc has more halo fans?

the halo franchise has sold 11 million units. 4-5 million go to xbox halo, 5-6 million go to xbox halo 2, now correct me if i'm wrong but that only leaves about 2-3 million left for the pc world to dominate.

If you show me the proof, I will stand corrected...

Plus, I'm talking about the popularity of HALO ... Halo 2 doesn't come into it! You show me solid proof that THE ORIGINAL HALO has sold more copies on the 'Box than PC...

um, I don't have any proof for the fact that HALO for PC has sold less copies than on xbox, but i will say that it is damm obvious. pretty much every xbox out there has HALO or a least HALO 2. by not putting HALO 2 on PC, microsoft won't be losin that much cash. They will probably only sell half a million, considering the most people u ever have on HALO for PC at once is... lol. is it 1000 most of the time, and goes up to 3000 on fridays. hey don't get me wrong, i love the game, but if i was a good business man, like bill; this is what i would do too.

well every xbox owner who has halo know thats its sold about 4.5-5 million units. now i cant find the post but i'm sure it was on xbox.com but it seemes to have been peplaced by new news and i dont know where to go and find it. but it was in that article that they said that halo 2 had sold over 5 million units and that the entire halo franchise including pc version had sold 11 million units world wide.

u knw what that means, considering the fact that

5million HALO for xbox

5million HALO2 for xbox

and that leaves 1million for HALO for PC, unless HALO and HALO 2 have sold even more since then (which i am sure they have).

Heyyo,

Yeah, Halo for computers turned out not as good as one would've hoped, probably why the reviews weren't that great...

HaloPC got -blam!- over by deadlines... they should've made sure they did it right the 1st time and not have even had to create a HaloCE to try and make up for the painful preformance of HaloPC.. if the gameplay wasn't so solid this game would've died in no time at all... thank god for that, but ya know? good gameplay will carry the game far, but bad prefomance can kill it...

No it didn't get -blam!- by deadlines and that crap. It got screwed by Microsoft for pushing it out the door before it was finished. Did anybody hear about the beta version of the game? Someone who tested it said the final version played out like a beta copy. And then there is this "MS must approve the patch before Gearbox can release it". What the hell is that type rule, even Activision said it is ID software's decision when dealing with patches, the Xbox version or expansion of Doom 3. It is obvious Microsoft knows crap about PC games other then just gobbling up companies like Bungie and Rare, and once they lived out their use, its close the door on them.

Heyyo,

Err... deadlines means "get the game done at this date cause we're releasing it." and that's what happened. they got it playable... but not truly ejoyable by the time the deadline hit....

Not even the Radeon 9800 would play the game over 1024x768. It was not until the 6800 and the X800 was release that now we can play it in full resolution.

WTF are you taking about, my dad's comp has a geforce 440 and it runs the game at 1024x768, and BTW, that isn't the full resolution

First of all Halo for PC was bought only because of its online capabilities. Halo 2 would be a little more difficult to make beacause microsoft would have to invest in servers exclusively for pc because you can't combine pc and xbox play
