I am a Floodian

I have an idea that could make messaging other members as well as moderators much easier(I also think it would be pretty neat); a contact list.

How it would work
When someone replies to a message or messages you, you can choose to add them to your contacts list. I personally find it annoying to try and find a thread to which someone responded when trying to message them about an issue, especially when I am in need of a quick reply.

Some additional features that might be neat.
- A separate section for moderators because they are superior to us, no matter how much I hate it.
- A favorites section

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

For us you can always use the mod finder sticky or hit up the members page of HFCS.

True, but I would find a contacts list faster then going to the Septagon, going to the thread, then going to the link.

It would just be a nice addition.

Well if you are using an up to date browser you can have at least the mod finder sticky in a tab for easy access. As for the other contacts I can see it working. I would think they could do something like the saved threads feature.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Yeah, even without the whole mods thing, I think it's a good idea. Of course, it's not that hard to find a post by someone, but it would still be nice to have a list that you could go to with everyone in it.

As a side note for the meanwhile, you could always bookmark those people's profile pages, since the pages have a "message user" button.

You say tomato; I say potato.

for mods:
Mod finder shows who is online.
A list of all members with a title other than "member". the mods have asterisks(*) next to their name.
The member list for HFCS

I agree with the idea of having a sort of friends list on bungie.net.

I would have too many people on the list for that too work. It would cover the screen.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

I do like this idea, and it would be a great addition, in my opinion. However, I would much prefer to see a 'Outbox' feature, before a contacts list myself.

A good idea though normally its not very hard to find other members post, it would be easier and more useful.
Like gnome said, it would be like a friends list for bungie.net

I agree that we need an outbox first. Perhaps a double addition?

I find that searching for members can be easy. However, it isn't very effective when you need to contact multiple members.

Why would I need to do this? You try and write a forum fiction, one which needs accurate descriptions of many forum members, and have to search for all of them. You then later realize you forgot someone when they posted. It makes you leave a dent in your desk.
