SA story Chapter 1 - Justice
Dogbert14 rushed through the streets of Spartans Alliance. Being both a cop, a CSI and a lieutenant of the SA Armed Forces, he was used to chasing down, arresting and sometimes shooting suspects.
And he never got tired of it.
Each person jailed or killed by him was not in the name of the massive city, his personal agenda, or SA's top leader, Tom T 117. It was in the name of justice and what is right.
He loved the city, of course - he had grown up in it - but in the end, it was nothing compared to the greater entity of justice. For him, nothing compared to the feeling of dealing it out - it was why he chose a career in law enforcement. He spent more time in the Spartans Alliance Police Department then he did in his own home. But he didn't have time for nostalia. He had a job to do.
"Stop!" he shouted as he cornered the suspect. He raised his weapon - a 9 MM Beretta Cougar. "Sir, there's no where else to go. Lie face down on the ground, right now."
"Fine," the suspect mumbled. As he started to get down on the ground, he drew a weapon of his own, rolled, and fired a shot directly at Dogbert's chest.
But one thing Dogbert was known for - sometimes praised, sometimes disapproved of - was his gut feeling, or as his close friends and enemies liked to call it, the "Dogbert Instinct." Some people said that it's handy to have and could be a live-saver at times . Others said that it gets in the way of science and factual evidence. In this case, it was a live-saver. As the bullet sped towards him, he fired a shot - not at the suspect, but at the suspect's bullet. The suspect's bullet went flying away into the shadows, and before the suspect had time to say "What the-", Dogbert shot him straight in the gun-wielding arm. The suspect howled in pain.
"That was a mistake," Dogbert stated to him. But the suspect suddenly stood up, drew a sharp blade and lunged at Dogbert. Almost immediatley a bullet pierced his head. But it was not Dogbert's. A figure came out of the shadows. It was Tom T 117.
"Damn," he muttered. "We didn't even get to interrogate him. You alright?"
"Yeah," Dogbert sighed. "What do we do now?"
"Get back to the Department and take a break. You've had a rough day."
"Sir, I'd rather not take a break, ok?"
"No, it's not ok. You've been on the job for three days straight. Everybody needs a break once and a while."
"Justice...is the only break I need, sir."
"Dogbert, nobody honestly knows how you even do your job anymore to begin with. You've lost your family and many of your friends-
"All because of violent crime-"
"You have no wife or kids...when are you going to start living?"
Dogbert smiled and lowered his head, looking at Tom over the lens of his sunglasses. "This is living." He pocketed his weaon and walked away, back to the SAPD.
Tom sighed heavily. It was useless trying to convince the man about anything. It's a damn lonely road he's walking, thought Tom. He headed to his private office, located in a massive, 90 floor building. He had an important meeting to attend to and didn't want to be late.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Tom T 117 sat in the gigantic chair in his spacious office, talking to his advisors, all of which were a member of the leading council, the Inner Circle.
"Sir," XxARKmasterxX spoke up, "Kabcr is becoming a huge problem."
"I know," sighed Tom, thinking about the attacker of SA. "Our SWAT leader almost caught him yesterday at the city's gates. If we catch him, he will be charged with a conspiracy to attack this city."
"You think a plan of attack should go into motion?" eagerly asked Retardo, Tom's assistant. He had always hated SA's current enemy, Earths Battlefield, and was always looking for an excuse to attack them.
Tom, however, wanted to keep things clean and orderly for the time being. "Let's wait until further action is necessary. I'll ask to speak with Simon in a video conference," stated Tom.
Simon 5000, the leader of Earths Battlefield, was a very intimidating and imposing figure. SA's citizens were frightened of him for the most part, for he was known to be so powerful that it was rumored that he is a demi-god. His enemies usually ended up dead in an extremley violent fashion. Bornswavia, Dogbert's cop partner, once fought him in hand-to-hand combat and barely survived.
The advisors left and Tom sat towards the huge window in his office overlooking the city, pondering its future.
