Yeah, but Microsoft is succesful because it is fairly ruthless when it comes to business. Does Microsoft make money on selling Xboxes? No, they don't. Every Xbox Microsoft sells costs more to make than the purchase price. So why is Microsoft eating millions upon millions of dollars? So they can establish themselves among gamers. A port to the GBA would be profitable to Microsoft, but it is more profitable to Microsoft for people to have to buy an Xbox, then buy their games. In the short term, Microsoft loses money on the purchase of the Xbox, but makes money from probably selling several games to the person who purchased that Xbox (game DVD's are extremely cheap in bulk and Microsoft makes an enormous profit off of selling the game). So yes, a GBA port would make Microsoft money, but making people buy the Xbox game and Xbox gets them a lot more in the long ruun.
