I did. One time I was kicking ass in a banshee in Death Island on CTF. My network was lagging but I totally strafe and took out two banshees and one tank in less then a minute. I was pretty proud.....under a message shows up saying the server master has kick me out. I was like, "WTF?!". I didn't do anything to deserve this! Anyway, anything like that happened to you lately?

The server operator has the right to kick anyone. He kicked you either for lagging the game or because you did something you're not telling us in an attempt to garner sympathy.

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

Or his story could be legit. I had one night where I was being exceptionally beasty in Halo and I got kicked from a server becuase they thought I was botting, so I joined a completely different server that had none of the people from the previous server in it and I was kicked again for the same reason. These things do happen, just not often.

a long while ago, I played halo pc and I was doing well, making flag runs, helping my team out, and all of a sudden, "The server opereator has banned you from this server." Give me a break. Don't ban people because they're better than you, ban them because they're cheating. Come on, people, don't ban someone because you don't like them, because then you suddenly turn into a little <blam!>.

Yeah, I know. It's just more fun to assume the worst in people.

I get "The game has closed down." message far more than kick messages...Hell, I'm not sure I've ever been kicked at all.

  • 11.06.2007 5:09 AM PDT

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Honestly, I have no problem with the Banshee. It has a role to play just as the tank, warthog, or ghost. The FRG it carries is accurate as hell once you learn how to use it. I can peg a moving ghost from across the expansive middle area of Infinity for example. And I can peg it again before it hits the ground. I admit there are people who think scraping against the ground and running people over makes them look good, but they aren't using the shee to it's full extent.

I still say that the OP was most likely being an asshat and isn't man enough to own up to it. BTW OP: That server you played on isn't yours to do with as you please. You don't have a right to play on it. And the guy paying for it has the right to do as he damn well pleases. Whether or not you were doing anything wrong or the server operator just decided you were too laggy or he could have been making room for a friend and you just happened to be the unlucky soul who's number got picked. Complaining about it just makes you look childish. And this thread is just that. A whiny complaint thread thinly veiled under the guise of a legitimate topic.

I got temporary banned from a server, because i was too good . Most of the time by mistake.

I've been banned plenty of times for seemingly no reason. Which is why I generally limit myself to a few good servers.

H1 and Halo Custom edition name: madkiller92

I was kicked from a sever once. I came back and the admin said they did it cause they were bored.

I almost never get booted from Halo PC; I'm generally a very good sport. Probably the number one reason for me being kicked is because I betray an AFK guy that's in my way, and the server auto-kicks me :X

But as for Halo 2 Vista, that's a totally different story. Like, when I'm going on a hog-run, and manage to get the flag-carrier in my side-seat on Coag'... I'm on my way home, and some dolt decides to get RIGHT in my way, so I stop in my tracks to avoid a betrayal. And after some awkward maneuvering, I think I'm clear, and then my tail slides and kills him. I get booted.

I get randomly booted for no reason at all... SO many times. I swear, I get booted from nearly every game for no reason at all. I'm just playing, being a good sport, and then I see I got booted... for no reason. It can get really irritating at times. I'm a guy that never gets angry, and it's pretty hard to irritate me... but don't mess with me when I try to play Halo =[

Ah well, what can you do?

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

This is why having a clan or a whole lot of friends to play with is the way to go. I play on public servers sometimes but people can be so crappy.

With the bot ''epidemic'' around Halo PC and CE (If you don't know what CE don't bother asking) I get kicked and banned because everyone thinks I bot. Playing with a gamepad instead of a mouse and keyboard netted me a buncha sniper kills. Apparently I killed the server owner too many times and got perma banned from the server > . <. Skilled people get headshots, Noobs think you bot. Common fact.

I am pretty sure that evertime we get booted it is always for some reason, owning too much, aimbot accusations, to make room on server. I can't recall just randomly being kicked without any reason what so ever.

Nobody owns in a tank. Trust me.

People only say that because no clan wants them.

I was kicked from {X} TankWarz several times, once for talking too much, once for being "annoying", but then I stopped, but the admin there did not like that I just killed him as he was about to score so he kicked me. On Halo Custom Edition, I was banned from Dark Garidans coldsnap server for over a year for lagging too much (they dont go through their banlists, i guess, which is why hardly anyone ever goes there anymore :) It all boiles down to abusive administrative behaver. These days it seems everyone who has any kind of administrative power, is a little too trigger happy on the ban/kick buttons, even here on bungie.net.
