I just wanted to say that this is one of the best posts that I’ve read. All clans should follow these suggestions. 1)Maps, 2)Weapon Training, and 3) Vehicle Training are pretty straight forward. But 4) Strategy is very difficult. Plainly, some people don’t really understand what a strategy is.
As the overlord of a clan, I must admit it’s hard to be as organized as you suggest. My group, Evil Inc, is made up of a bunch of good guys with various skill levels. There are a few of us that think practice is very important and understand strategies. I set up a weekly practice night where we get together and work on things. We did this once a week for over a month.
Here’s the frustrating part. A group of the high ranked players in the clan decided that practice wasn’t important anymore. There was a little dissention in the group. I tried, over and over, to explain even the best players need to practice. Also strategies are something that require thinking and not just twitch abilities. I personally feel that a group that understands strategies, and even more be lower rank, can give higher ranked players that are just winging it, are run for their money. Sadly not many people seem to see it my way. If anyone agrees or disagrees, I’d like to hear their thoughts. That being said a group of my high ranked players jumped ship and started their own clan. We’re all still friends but I find it frustrating.
I’d like to have a group that is balanced – has good individual abilities, understand strategies and wants to work on them. Anyone has similar thoughts or experiences with their clans?
