Hi,

is there any way to turn the CHAT off in the game? Thanks.

Not really, sorry.

Best to learn to make use of the chat, it helps to form strategies and inform the team.

how do you stop people from spamming then? Is there a curse filter or something available?

No, unfortunately nothing to inhibit abuse of the chat is available in the current incarnation of HaloPC.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a younger player, I don't mind the gaming, but the offensive language and generally rude behavior can get out of hand. I am about to prevent him from online gaming if I can't find some secret DOS based option. you'd figure it's in there somewhere.

Best option is to have him go onto the COG, GHS, and SOC servers. They are run by Christians and they always have admins that kick people using excessive profanity/namecalling. They are usually pretty respectful and have fair gameplay.

Or over load the mxslmenu by having lots of things running on the desktop while playing halo.

Thanks for the tip. I tried editing 480log by making the Textcolor the same as the other items (background, etc). I ended up launching a game and received a "parsing" error.

Any ideas on what else I might be able to edit (maybe the color is not the right variable). Thanks.

well.... if you get the nvidia active camo fix, all text dissapears, so that might work, even if you don't have an nvidia card...
