I'm asking because some people shun the medium just because they only know about the crappy, Americanized kid stuff like Pokemon, DBZ, and Yu-Gi-Oh. You don't know what you're missing!

My personal favorite is Neon Genesis Evangelion. Cowboy Bebop is a close second...

I've got, in alphabetical order, Blue Seed, Bubble Gum Crisis 2040, Cowboy Bebop + Movie, Escaflowne + Movie, Gasaraki, Hellsing, Neon Genesis Evangelion + Movies, Martian Successor Nadesico, Noir, RahXephon. Seriel Experiments Lain, Trigun, and Witch Hunter Robin, all on DVD.

As far as movies I've got Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Jin-Roh, Spriggan, and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I used to have Princess Mononoke, until my -blam!- of an Ex-girlfriend stole it for "compensation."

So yes, I watch anime.

Bebop, yeah. Trigun... no. It had too much of a shakey start. Had the entire series been as good as the last half, then maybe.

ajenteks, is Gasaraki worth buying? I saw a trailer for it and the mechs looked pretty cool, but I really know nothing about the series. Care to enlighten me?

I like it, but I'm into politics, mythology, economics, and strategy, which Gasaraki is about. Quite a few people who've written reviews for it, and all of my friends that I've let borrow it, call it the "cure for insomnia." It's maybe 30% action, 70% dialogue, so it's not for everyone.

For more indepth reviews on Gasaraki, I'd recommend www.animeondvd.com.

I loves anime. It's good stuff. I've tried to get my friends to watch the real stuff, but they prefer that yu-gi-oh!/Dragonball GT crap. Ick. In my opinion, nothing is more insulting to the highest form of animation (anime, of course) than that -blam!-.

Hmm... Let's see... For shows I like Trigun, Beebop, the first two series of Dragon Ball Z (The Vegeta and Frieza Sagas), Macross, and almost anything Gundam (except V Gundam a.k.a. 'Turn-A-Gundam').

Movies are Princess Mononoke, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Endless Waltz, Char's Counter Attack, the Beebop movie (what is it called?), and a few other things I can't name off the top of my head (mostly a bunch of other Gundam movies).

-S

Anime and I go waaaaay back.

The anime I'm following right now isn't being aired in America right now. For example, I watched Witch Hunter Robin around a year before it was aired on Adult Swim. =) Other stuff I watch includes Full Metal Alchemist, and Naruto. I'd be watching Samurai Champloo right now, but it was announced as licensed right after I got the first episode. It's made by the same people that did Bebop and Wolf's Rain, but looks way better than either. I'm pretty excited about it.

Too bad that one got licensed. I guess that just means we can spend our cash on it that much faster.
