Why do you have to pay double the projected price?

That's what I mean. This is my view(that I just came up with) on the PSP.

Microsoft is like a black hole to beat the -blam!- out of all black holes. It sucks in anyone's and everyone's money. But at least your money is(hopefully) being spent on something worth it.
Sony on the other hand...is a black hole that sucks in your money, but you don't get squat. It's around $120 for a good memory card. The one that comes in the value pack is only good for games. Well only has enough room for games.

I'm just gonna get the DS for X-mas. Spend around $200 for it(of my own money) before I get Xbox 2. Then I'll be set until Bungie comes out with their own ultimate gaming system.

It will when it's released stateside. Right now the going rate to import a PSP is ~$500-$600.

No, flamechu, I wasn't joking. I truly do disagree with you.

And I've seen one in person before, so you can't argue with me about how good it looks.

Some game developers think the PSP is going to flop in a few months and the DS will rule but I haven't seen any footage from the PSP yet. I will probably buy one anyway.

No, I can't, but looking good doesn't mean anything. Did you actually get a chance to play it?

Okay then.

I never said it didn't look good. If you mean hardware wise, it's pimp. If you mean graphical wise, from all of the videos I've it looks like it beats the DS. But this is my guess just from vidoes I have seen.

Alright since I am experienced on this matter here is my say....

Currently right now the only way you could find one is for $600+ maybe on Ebay, as they are sold out in Japan and won't be sold in the US until after Christmas.

The PSP has better hardware, i.e. movies, mp3's, graphics. Anyone seen PSP Ridge Racer??? >>>>>>>>>>>>> Better than the DS

However for the PSP batter life, it can last for about 3 hours playing a game, which is less than the DS.

I also the PSP looks alot cooler than the DS.

Personally I prefer a handheld that plays like a console rather than a handheld that plays like a handheld. The PSP is worth the dough. The touchscreen on the DS feels to loose and breaks easily.

Correction. The instruction manual, for the record, echoes SCE's statements about 4 to 6 hours for games and 4 to 5 hours for movies. That sentence came from an article from IGN.

And other dude. How exactly do you figure that the touchscreen breaks easily? It's a damn screen.

Yes and it is possible to break a screen is it not? Have you ever used a DS? (Unfortunately I have)

I'll take firsthand experience over an article at IGN, maybe it's all games except for ridge racer... but that game lasts for around 3 hours.

No I have never taken out my previous Game Boys at the top of a rock climbing, drop it, then start to go down and jump off falling 5-6 feet on top of the Game Boy. I have also never had my Game Boy around when I was working on my shop class project.

These screens aren't bullet proof ok. The touch screen is more sensitive to damage than the regular screen, a lot more sensitive.

No you just read incorrectly. If it didn't come out the right way, I was saying that the PSP looks good(which I think everyone will agree. The acually way the hardware works and stuff sucks.
