Hey, why disgrace bungie, and all that is Halo, with just one movie. That would of been the same as 1 Star Wars movie, or 1 Lord of the Rings----give Halo its due!!! But it needs to be done in the correct way.
1st. Base the creation of the Halo trilogy, from a great story.and what better way than to breathe life into the halo novels. Use the "Fall of Reach" as movie 1, Use the "Flood" as movie 2, and use "First Strike" as the 3. And never count out a possible 4.
The reason I say use the novels is, they can be the exact story line for each movie. As everyone know the novels are extremely well written, they include many, many unique adventures within itself, and includes some amazing battles between the covenant and the marines, that if done right could put the "Lord of the Rings" battles to shame.
2nd. Do not change the novels follow them as if they are the final script( except do not show master chiefs face, this would take away the personal connection that each of us have with him.) As for master cheif use the same voice actor,(this is critical) but, present him on screen, the same way as Darth Vader was in Star Wars.
3th. The director that could pull something off, of this size ,would be Peter Jackson, the man proved to the world he is one of the greatest directors of our time. Peter Jackson's pursuit of complete perfection, is that of equal to Bungie, what a match made in heaven!!
In terms of box office, just think with the Halo craze, at a all time high and over 11million units sold (halo/halo 2 combined) worldwide, the timing could 'nt be better. As we know every single halo fan will see the movie at least 1 time, they will also bring at least 1-3 friends, now add in the action/sci-fi movie going population. You have a HUGE BLOCKBUSTER!!!!!
I can't think of any director, or producer who would walk away from such a sure thing.
Also if for some reason Peter Jackson won't. try--
Ridley Scott------"Blackhawk Down"
"Gladiator"
"Aliens"
4th. Halo is pop culture, Halo has consumed every xbox owner worldwide, it has touched the hearts and souls of all true gamers. Halo is a true experience, that the rest of the non-gaming world needs to be shown, and what better way, than on the big screen.
Bungie and microsoft have an opportunity, to take Halo beyond the gaming community, and create the "next Stars Wars" for the movie going public.
Remember, Timing is Everything--And the time is now.
