Heyyo,

that could be joining kick, like, your comp taking too long to join a game. What happens is you have a preset amount of time to join again before the server "times out." Now, when this happens, the server automatically drops its connection to you, and your comp thinks, 'Oh, the game must've closed...' hence the "Game has closed down."

What's happening with that lag when you join is usually caused by low amounts of ram or cpu power... I see your specs, and they're pretty low, much lower that the recommended requirements... You can always think of upgrading your comp, or a cheaper alternative: Ask santa for a new comp, or whatever religion festivites you have at this time of year. ;)

If ya wanna good custom comp with cheap prices just ask me, I can compile some pretty nifty computer lists at any price range. =D

So for short, "Your comps a little outdated for newer games, and is reccomended you either upgrade your computer or try playing older games like the Half-Life 1 series."

PC specs:
err... 350ghz PII processor
192 mb ram
agp 2x ati rage pro
Win XP SP1
7GB HD

If those are your real system details, you shouldn't even be able to get that far! The minimum specs for Halo are:

128mb ram
733 mhz proscessor
1.2gb on HD
32mb/3D T&L capable.

If you ARE getting that far, you are wrong about your system specs. Have another look because this one just doesn't ring true...

Heyyo,

Don't think that intergrated graphics has T&L, me sis has that intel one on her laptop, and no T&L... then again it was only 8MB's of Video Ram, so and older model, lol...

Anywho, yeah, a new comp would help, cause if you don't manage to get your map n' stuff loaded before the server times out, it leaves you behind...

well it's obviously not graphics, 'cause the problem would be diffrent, and unless you got a lot of spyware, your processor is good enough for multiplayer (mine's a 1.5 ghz....). and since it's your processor that allows you to load the maps, it can't be loading time, but to a spyware check anway and then retry it. if that doesn't work, it's your internet conection. sometimes if your internet sucks, then it brings up the message 'game has closed down.' i don't know why.

nope, no spyware, anywase i keep a close check on that stuff. the connection seems to be fine but ill check. im probably guessing a bit more ram will help the 128kb, im thinking of getting a stick of 256kb, should help right?

ohh, wait. missed the ram. yeah, you should definatly have more of that. that might prove MaRd right about the loading speed. i would probably recomend ditching the old ram and buying 2 256kb (or hicher even: like 2 512kb) sticks of ram.. but that gets expensive, and the 256is proly enough

it only supports up to 2 sticks of 256, crappy aint it? well, what do you expect for a celeron motherboard.

i would buy a p4 processor for it, but its too expensive, and if i could i would buy a pci graphics card, and man then this comp would go like, ya, zoom
