Looks like it would run it decent.

Of course, the dudes over at the Halo 1/2 PC forum can probably help you out more than most people here can. Most of them do, in fact, play the game you're asking about.

Edit: Aaaaand... it gets moved. That works.

Heck, my computer blows, with only 1 GB of RAM, an Intel Pentium D, and an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT... and I can run Halo 2 Vista on Medium settings 800 x 600, and get a constant, benchmark 60 FPS. Though, if I turn the settings to high, I get a few hiccups, but Medium is just fine. I could turn up the resolution, and/or put anti-aliasing, and it'll still run like butter... but I've never had a game run at 60 FPS in my life... and still look this good. So I'm enjoying it >_>

Hmm, but yeah, your CPU kicks my CPU's ass 40 times over. Fo real.

And as for your graphics card, I'm not entirely sure. The only cards I know of are from Nvidia and ATI. I don't know of any brands, or generic brands or w/e. So I can't really say. But at 358 MB of VRAM, that can't be to damn bad.

Your rig is fine. It should run great.

EDIT: Oh yeah, just make sure you have at least 1 GB of RAM. Otherwise you pretty much won't be able to run it at all. Even at 1 GB, my computer can barely run H2V. I usually have to disable visual settings, kill a bunch of programs just to free up enough RAM to run it. And man... when this game starts sucking up RAM, and I accidentally alt+tab out, or press the Windows key... it'll take for-freakin'-ever >_>

For an optimal gaming experience, I'd recommend 2 GB. Because this game can suck up, at most, about 550 MB of RAM. And that barely leaves anything for the operating system, and anything else that's running.

The processor is good, but you sould get 2 gb of ram and a nvidia or ati graphics card would proboly run h2 and many other games better than an intel.

My computer must defy the laws of physics, or something. I have an ATI Radeon X1300, 512 MB RAM, and a Pentium 4 Processor. That seems too low, right? But my loading time is always less than 20 secs and it runs on Med settings, 800x600, at a constant 30-40 FPS.

God must love me. Or something.

lol Python, I know what you mean. My buddy can run CoD 4 with his 6150 chipset.
speaking of CoD, that's where I've been this whole time. Cause that game is AMAZING. Skip out on halo 2 man.... please. Especially if you're gonna struggle with it on a laptop like you plan to.
