Hi!
I brought the U.S. retail version of Halo 2 and after installing it I noticed that the menus and hints are completely in German. However, the voices are still in English.
I don't know how to change the menu's language to English. Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance.
Alex

I don't think they recorded the voices in any other language, so it would be English anyway. Try re-installing and pay attention to all the screens (look for a language selection). Also, make sure Windows is in English, too.

I've installed it twice and there's no language selection option. Setup is completely in English, too.
However, my Windows is indeed in German (since I'm playing it on my fathers computer, which is the only one that has got Vista installed). But I've never experienced that a game decides the language on its own.
I've tried switching regional settings to U.S. (even during installtion) but it did'nt work, too.
The translation is a mess, I don't want to play it in German!

Windows decides for Halo. I'm not sure how Vista works, but see if you can make your own profile and set it for English (make sure it has administrative capabilities). Other than that, I guess your going to have to learn German.

Making my own English profile didn't work out. I guess the installer just looks at the operating systems language and then decides, which language to install.
Fortunately German is like my first language so I'm still able to understand the game, but the translation is really bad (like wrong grammar and stuff ...) so I'd rather like to play the English version.

I've got one more idea:
Could somebody with English texts please upload a profile folder to Rapidshare? Just create a new profile and then zip and upload the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Application Data\Microsoft\Halo 2\Saved Games\Sxxxxxxxx
There may be several folders but you can find out what the right profile is by opening the "savemeta.bin" file with a text editior.
