Well, I really don't like my Bungie.net username, (it's stupid, I made it back in sixth grade) but I'd like to keep all of my gamertag information logged on to another name. Is there any way I can re-name my Bungie account, or make a new one, while still having my gamertag linked? Thanks very much

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Unfortunately not. The only recourse is to PM Achronos and ask him, but he won't do it without extreme circumstances. Probably not in your case, considering that you just don't like it because it's stupid. Sorry :-(

I pm'd Achronos and I didn't get a reply. I really wish I could get a Bungie staff member's explanation so I know for sure.

He will either respond or he won't. Give it a day or two, if you don't get a response you're not going to. Name changes only come about if someone does something inappropriate with their name.

So now I'm a beta tester. Let's see where this goes.

He may be offline. Not to mention that he probably gets tons of pm's [/hatemail], and has to read [/delete] all of them in order to get to the important ones.

Well I PM'd him several days ago, so I guess I can either try again or give up.

well i am new on this site, which i find the site a little confusing, i clicked on new thread and it wouldnt let me make a new one? so that is why i am posting my question in this thread, Because i also need help.

i just got xbox live a week or so ago, xbox live for the original xbox not 360. i want to go play halo 2 online, but when i go on for some reason i cant connect/find other games. when i go to quick match the next screen comes up and under it it says that i dont have the map for it (or something like that).

do i need to buy the map pack in order to play online?

how do i get into a game? - i tryed but for some reason i dont know how to or cant.

it is really starting to piss me off though, any help or suggestions

If patience is an aspect you can apply to yourself, waiting one year without logging into this account will cause it to automatically delete. Keep the login information and sign in one year later, and it will take you back to profile creation. From there you will be able to create a new display name and that Bungie.net account will be linked to your Xbox Live gamertag.

I honestly would just accept it for what it is, because your display name does not change who you are. You would lose everything associated with your prior account, such as groups and posts. Not mentioning the obvious fact of disabling yourself from signing in, when you could be having the most ideal experience that Bungie.net has to offer.
