I disagree topic creator.
I think Halo 1 and Halo 3 are tied at the top while Halo 2 is at the VERY, VERY bottom.
halo 1 had the best campaign gameplay wise, it never seemed to get old, and the difficulties were very balanced.
halo 1's multiplayer would have also been the best because it took the most skill, but no online knocks down the replayability a little
halo 3's campaign might not have been as tight as Halo 1's, but with campaign scoring and online co-op, it has the most replayability.
halo 3's multiplayer, while not as skillful as halo 1's, takes leaps and bounds more skill than Halo 2, not to mention forge and saved films among all the other options make it tied for the best multiplayer. It would be the best if it wasn't for the bad maps.
Halo 2, while a decent game, can't even hold a candle to its prequel and sequel.
the campaign is the most uninspired and boring of the 3, and difficulty balancing some of the worst, the flood and brutes also had some major hit detection problems.
the multiplayer is by far the worst of the 3 as well. It might have a lot of options, and be "fun", but gameplay wise, it's one of, if not the most unbalanced shooters ever made, and that is a bad thing people. weapon whoring isn't a skill, and for most maps SMG spawns are inexcusable.
