yes it is very nice that you would take time to try and explain this very complex system,... However *shakes head* There is still the matter of me winning 9 matches in a row in team slayer, while having the number level 38 and not moving on to 39 which should have then proceeded to become 40 and so on. I do beleive that there is some very complex thinking that goes into this system, but why would i then, after winning 9 matches in a row and not leveling up, would i lose 1 match and go to level 37? i ask you why ladies and gentleemen WHY?if you do not beleiv me look at this

Hmmm well i guess its back to the battle field for me bungie, another dedicated fan, player, supporter who has been thrashed about by your ranking system.
P.S. i have all of the acheivments and... still missing the armor for my elite commando
K/D ratio has nothing to do with ranking up or down, only winning/losing and the skill level of your opponents.
First off, you did have a couple things going on. One was, you were in a mixed skilled party. The lowest being a 26 while you were a 38, the highest. This slows your progression down and in some cases stops it. This is something Bungie is working on but until then, don't plan on going up much when playing with parties like this.
The second thing is you were the highest skilled in your party. This means the average skill of the teams you were playing against was lower than you. With the TrueSkill system, winning against lower skilled teams does little to nothing for you. You don't get much skill for beating lower level teams because the system has determined you should win anyway. Now, when you lost, the oppositions average team skill was below yours so you took a big hit. The system determined you should win, but you lost and penalized you accordingly.
With this system, like it or not, you not only have to win, but win against equally or higher skilled teams. If you lose against a lower skilled team, you will go down. You can't beat up on lower skilled teams and still move up.
