It means Spanker because it's a real spanker. That my theory.

I'm thinking it will take a Marathon fan to properly answer this. I don't know.

Truly you are right oh Black Beast of Aaargh. The SPNKr was the double-barrel rocket launcher in the days of Marathon. Yes, it came from the word spanker. The same went for the flamethrower, known as TOZT, or toasty(possibly toast).

Of course it's mysterious. It's a firkin secret weapon! If you need help, just remember that it fired ammo designated "Windows NT". :)

i still don't get it

SPNKr meaning spanker sounds right, never thought of it like that!

However, I also think it could be the company thet made the rocket as well, i think the letters all stand for somthing and since the last letter in SPNKr is a small R then the last word could be killer i think.

Rockets don't kill noobs. Noobs kill people with rockets.

Get it right, noob.

By the way, check out the name of the Halo flamethrower; the M-7057 Defoliant Projector. Look a bit... familiar?

Kinda puts the M-808 Main Battle Tank (Scorpion) in a different light.

Nice - didn't see the flamethrower thing before. Very clever.
I don't get the tank reference though (maybe I am to tired). Anyone care to enlighten me?
