So I killed the two flying Elites on crack as I exit the airlock, and think to myself, "Hey, I wonder if I can get out onto the vast area of Cairo Station? I saw some guy take forever and a day bouncing himself to the very top, but with the Sputnik skull couldn't I just jump on top of the ceiling of the majority of the station?"

No. There are invisible walls. However, you can jump onto the docked In Amber Clad. If anyone doesn't know how, I can explain, but it is fairly self-explanatory. You don't need any skulls, but Sputnik helps you fly around once you get 'out' of the map. Anyway, if you want you can run all around Cairo Station and In Amber Clad (I don't think it is to scale... not even close). And while on In Amber Clad, I noticed this repeating pattern, with fifteen dots. WTF? I have no idea what they are doing, but they are everywhere. Does anyone know what they are for/mean? I've only owned Halo 2 since Jan 2007, so I haven't really paid any attention to Bungie before, and if they or someone else explained this earlier than I apologize for my ignorance.

Also, did anyone ever figure out what the 'Ultimate Egg' was? Or did that turn out to be a myth, like the Golden Warthog (which I now use as my pimpmobile to pick up chicks like Tyler43211 (one of the best female players I've met) in)?

What In Amber Clad on Cairo? And no, TUE hasn't been found yet. Using sword cancelling, you can get to the top of the station without sputnik and those invisible barriers. Pick up the thunderstorm skull so you can get the sword from an Elite. Nice try on the 15 dots and trying to tie it into the 15 skulls. I'm sure there's more dots, or far less. Perhaps 5 triggers of battle rifle made those visible eh?

After you fight the Covenant inside Cairo, you go outside for a moment and kill some flying elites. Instead of killing them and going on through the rest of the level (I think all of the annoying flying bugs are next), simply jump up on the wall and walk in the opposite direction you are supposed to. Invisible walls will prevent you from walking onto In Amber Clad (which is docked at Cairo Station), but you can jump from the wall to In Amber Clad and then run around on top of In Amber Clad and Cairo Station. There's a bunch of orange window-ish stuff on top of Cairo, and you can sort of see through one into the part of the level where MC and Johnson first got off the tram and MC says, "You told me there wouldn't be any cameras."

As for the fifteen dots, which you will see repeating everywhere on In Amer Clad's hull, I just wondered if there was a reason why the same pattern was being replicated so much.

Just how big is this In Amber Clad? I've spent hours out there on Cairo and I don't remember seeing it anywhere.

As soon as you go outside the door (jet-pack Elites) the IAC is to the right. It looks like it's part of the station. The back of the engines are to the left (after you get on the IAC) and the front points in the general direction of the center of the station.

When you first step outside it's the giant bluish thing labeled FFG-142. Those windowed docking arms above you extend from the station and connect to IAC. At first glance it doesn't look like a ship at all because you're only seeing a small part of it's hull.

Ohl-royt, it seemed to me that the ship was part of Cairo... I always assumed it was. Anyhow, getting inside and through the doors would be cool if anything's inside.. Actually I'll give that a shot when I get my profiles finished... The ship seems a bit small to me, but I guess Halo would lose to Star Wars because Star Destroyers are 20 times that long and have a lot more punch. Falcon punch that is.

sorry to bump this, but I gotta ask - How is it that it's know that TUE isn't just something bungie's saying there is? I mean it's been like 3 years since Halo 2 came out, how hasn't it been found yet?

Well, I'm not going to get involved in this except to say I don't think Bungie ever admitted to such a thing as TUE. I believe some people (in a backroom somewhere) are still sifting through all the information to see what pops up, but hope wanes.

There have been hints to its existence. Bear with me and I'll edit the post when I find the links. You'll be surprised.

Edit: EGAT Acronym theory support, though questionable eh?

"The 15 letter one is a clue to a puzzle of sorts."

Basically, all skulls on and random trickery ought to reveal it. Getting it done has been put off now that Halo 3 is out. I'm going to try and find it without the updates. Then we'll know that if it's not found, we'll have tried it every way. Almost. I can update one piece at a time too.. if I find the time.

There's another quote about the JNAMSFTFY acronym, from Hoberman, somewhere around here... about it being part of the original plan and "simplified."
