Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

Oh what good memories Ocarina brings back ;(
Yes, the water temple was tedious, but I think it was the most rewarding. Shadow Link? How much cooler can you possibly get? Plus the main boss was, as you said, flat out awesome. I love how Zelda games can really cause you to think, and the water temple really got my mind's gears in motion. The forest one was good, too, but I remember the first time I ever played it I was left so disoriented and confused that I almost stopped playing the game. Maybe it's time to dust off the old N64....
I'll have to check out those RE remakes some time. A friend of mine loves them, but I never had the initiative to go out and buy them. Might be worth, it, though. ;)
And I see what you mean about FF, but I still love the series. It still has its moments in the more modern games, even if some of the recent ones haven't had quite as much of the dark flavor as the old classics. Oh well. FF 2-8 were brilliant, 9 was fun, albeit a little on the kiddy side, X was a great game all-around, X-2 was... unique, and the "Tactics" branch of FF are absolute masterpieces. Also, XII looks very promising. XI never really interested me, and the very first one was kind of.... bleh.
Go for it... if you still feel like you don't know if you want to buy a RE game for GC at least rent one... though most of them now are like $20-$30 and used are cheapers still. But SERIOUSLY try out REmake... and you MUST play it around 12am or later with the volume all the way up and no light. Try it out that way at least, I can promise you will not want to play another Survival Horror game any other way. To me, playing it in the middle of the day just makes it lose something ya know?
