Well, it says I signed up 9/20/07 doesn't it? That's weird, and wrong, I signed up shortly after H2 came out, I did have trouble logging in after I moved for some reason, 9/20 sounds right, btw, that was the month before last.

Oh, I recomend you take a reading comprehension class, you REALLY get a lot of things wrong.

Well, welcome to the wonderful world or being judged by your join date and age.
Sorry, I'm kinda too busy with my honors classes to switch right now.

News? Podcasts? Machinima? Active forums? Competitions? Jaffa Cakes!? OMG!
Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

Forum sucks?
Big statement for a few petty technical preferences.

because if seeing is believing,
then believe that we have lost our eyes

Anybody can go to a forum and say it sucks over a few things they don't like about it. I don't mind that you think there are a few things wrong with it. That's your opinion.

The main thing is is that this site is nowhere near broken. The good, or should I say amazing, definatly out weigh the bad. Pretty much every forum is different. Usually good out weighs the bad in your own way.

Imagine what I am about to say, but being said by that comic store guy from The Simpsons:

"You, sir, are a dumbass."

I was kinda angry at what you've said. You also insulted my girlfriend, which means I'd really like to kick your friggin' ass right about now, but you see, we is over the interwebs, so I kinda can't do that. How dare you come into this forum and say it sucks. Go post it on www.halo2sucks.com or www.halo3sucks.com, either one, because you obviously don't belong here.

First of all, please show where I said Halo sucks.

Secondly, why would you even talk about fighting someone you've never even seen? And dude, I looked at your myspace pic, trust me, I'm not scared, you're not talking to some trash talking punk kid.

Simmer down! There is no need to escalate this to a flame war. The OP thinks Delphi is a better system, some of the rest of you disagree.

"I guess Halo was a milestone that Cod..."

Oh, I recommend you take a grammar class. You really suck at using periods.

Don't fully enforce your opinion and shoot people down with a splaser whenever someone disagrees. It's disrespectful and self-centered. I also apologize to you for insulting you. It wasn't my place to do that. I truly apologize. I'm still going to insult you to some extent.

Seriously, you didn't have to stoop that low. If you don't like this site, go back to Delphi. Nobody's stopping you. There's the door.

Note: those sites talk about how much Bungie sucks, too. Take time to read the forums.

I guess the thing that I don't understand is why if someone doesn't like the forums, they continue to post in them. Everyone has their own opinions, but if I don't like a site why would I keep going back to it? Delphi, Bungie, just stick with what you like and avoid the ones you don't. I know that some people come here to track their Halo stats, but that doesn't mean you have to read or post in the forums.

I liked prior bungie.net rather than the 07 one. *sigh* But I still disagree with your post.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I've got a picture of Alexander Graham Bell and my cell phone is a Chocolate, if that counts.

Because the new way of the world seems to center around spoonfeeding people what they want to see and hear rather than teaching them how to cope with difference in the world.

Nowadays, if a kid wont eat his brocolli, mommy and daddy go and cook him something he likes. When I was growing up, I wouldve had brocolli every night until I learned to like it, or at least until I stopped whining about it.

I liken the OPs post to this. I respect that he likes the Delphi forums over the b.net boards, but the holding his breath and stomping feet until Bungie caters to his likes/dislikes makes him lose credibility.

IMHO.

Because your tears are sweet, like candy.

Seriously, the site was built to maximise efficiency in delivery; it has to be with a million active accounts. I know that things are always under development, though, so if you have any CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions (not whines) feel free to constribute.

-- Steve'll note that he moved this from the Underground (which is for old-school games and Bungie lore) to the Bungie.net Community forum.

The "CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions" was to click the link, it leads to a well organized forum from which they could learn a lot, try clicking the link, if you think this is maximum efficiency, you haven't been to many forums.

I get the feeling that your either a Mod or Admin at the Linked forum you keep trying to get us all to go to. Just trying to promote your forums?

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

Counterpoint: Perhaps there is a reason why nobody spends time on Delphi.

More features aren't always better. And time spent messing with a few minor forum features of questionable usefulness is time not being spent on bigger features.

This may get me permanantly banned from getting the recon armor, like I care, but Bungie, your forum sucks. I don't even know where to begin, how about the fact that when you post a reply it takes you to the end of the thread where you posted? I don't want to read my post, I just wrote it, I know what it says, I want to continue reading where I left off, I post, then I have to go back and find where I left off. How about message notification? How about a link in the reply that takes you back to the last message in case you need to review what was said? Seriously man, go here and get some pointers, I could go on and on. How is it that you can make such a fantastic series of games, but can't make a decent forum?

Edit: So far I've gotten a bunch of responses from people proclaiming the superiority of B-net, but not one who's actually spent time posting on Delphi to have a frame of reference. They aren't even willing to check it out, complaining about the colors and advertisments on the home page instead, come on people, I'm not talking about moving this site over there, I'm talking about improving this site, it's not perfect, no site is, at least consider the posibility that it wasn't created by God.

If you haven't spent time on Delphi, or don't have any suggestions for improvements, please don't talk to me, you can't have a reasonable discussion if you haven't even seen the subject.

Well, that delay was caused because we were working on Halo 3 - that always beats out forum coding time.

Also - these forums may be based on Ideal Science code, but we have not taken a code drop from them since 2005. And even then, it is HIGHLY customized to deal with both our load and our UI. So much has changed that we couldn't integrate their new "general public" releases if we wanted to, they're vastly different now.

I remember when Achronos was telling us about some new simple features that where gonna be added like bookmarks? Well, he was telling us about that for months. That's how long it takes to put this stuff in. Even with the help of Ideal Science.
