Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Let's just say your going to have a game on Xbox Live, and you don't have enough people to join in for a full game. Would you want to have the option of having bots take those empty spaces? What do you guys think?

i think it would be a good idea but if there isn't bots you could just wait for more players to join like most online games

The only problem is that you could end up with a guy that would just kill the bots for easy points.

I would have to go with the varying difficulty. I'd always have mine set on Legendary.

That would be pointless because you would have PEOPLE to play with. You would always have people to play with because its HALO 2 and people are crazy for it. Its pretty much only for people who dont have live

Well, what if there is just a particular shortage of people on that particular day?

ye i mean though i will remain faithfull after the big hype some people will get sick of halo and thse who havn't played the first one might think it sucks etc. yes it will be rare to require bots but on those quiet days when everyone else is at school or work save afew it could be very useful

I think u people underestimate just how good Halo 2 is going to be. there is so much to do, i dont think i could ever get sick of blasting a bunch of people away in a turret or shooting rockets outta the back of the warthog, is anyone here sick of halo yet. Im not and if there was X box live to go with it i would probly play it 24/7. I dont think there will ever be a shortage of people on X box live.

Bah. It'd end up like Unreal Tournament 2003 before 2004 came around: tons of servers that appear half-full. They're half-full, all right - half-full of bots! Sorry, I like playing with real people. Bots are cool offline, but I'd rather jump into a match online with real people.

bots should not count towards your score stats, ingame stats yeah, but not things like a leader bord. this could be particularaly usfull with training sessions for clans. as for bot difecultys you could have it set like in james bond 007 agent under fire, where you select team, avatar and difeculty level. so you could have easy, normal, heroic and legandary bots

I absolutely hate bots in online games. If you need some more spots offline, fine, but I never joined PC online games with bots. Just stupid, I came online to play people, its not a good competition with bots in the game (whether they are good or not). If there is an option for them online, I hope not many use it. Hell there should be more than enough people playing Halo 2 on Live.
