in halo 1 you couldnt shoot your own driver if you were in the gunner or side seat i wonder if you could do that in halo 2 like if youre driver was gonna get you killed and you wanted hem dead so you could drive and he wouldnt get you killed

I definitely do. Not because I want to shoot my teammate but for strategy. If would give you a good reason to jack into the passenger seat, or to put someone into the passenger seat. Imagine if you were in the passenger seat and someone jacked out the driver. You whip around and shoot him in the head with your shotgun and tell your driver to get back in.

I mean, why not, when your driver is on the other team?

Yes for pretty much the same reasons Draerden pointed out.

Well, perhaps, HTES didn't know about the parasite jacking at the time- nothing wrong with that. Don't worry about it Zamamee.

Thing is, once the functionality is in place there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to shoot your ally. Friendly fire is a part of Halo.

*grins* That's one reason I hated Halo PC, part of the culture seems to be shooting a guy once to get his attention is OK. Some people seem to get excited... once I was blasted by a Fuel Rod Cannon just because someone wanted a ride on the tank. Problem was, we were fired upon immediately after and both died. Not a smart move.

wait so would you stay in the warthog if someone jacked your vehicle? or would it force you to get out?

I think it should depend on placement. Passenger should always be able to, but the gunner should be able to depending on the weapon. With a rocket hog, no because if the gunners normal and makes a mistake, your bodies are flung across the enviorment. However, maybe with a chaingun warthog, the driver and passanger get an additional, large armor bonus to prevent accidental deaths, but if the gunner focuses for two seconds or something he can take them out.
