Yeah, this is not going to happen. 1st off, if you want to view a video, or let a friend see it, Bungie has made a system specifically for that. Your file share works well, and it is how you share the vids. I think a lot of people still don't understand the complexity of playing a game vid outside of the game. It is basically impossible. They are not videos, they are the actual games that you played, being played again without any user control. For us to be able to watch these on the B.net, as a few people have said, there would have to be a pretty advanced emulator built into the site. Now consider this, think of how long it takes to load a game that you haven't watched in a while. The load times suck sometimes, and they would only be worse when viewed on the B.net. Also, the amount of storage space required (not including programming) to set up a way to browse, and view these files would be rediculous. Bungie could totally do it though, if they say, charged us $99.95 a month for the service or something. It would be rediculously expensive, and in the end, a lot of work, and money would go into letting us watch game clips, that we can already watch on the Xbox. It's redundant, and would not really be as cool as you might think. Screw watching a half baked version of a gamefile on the internet, when you can just turn on the box, and get it's full glory. Bungie's system rocks, and it seems to me that they have given us everything that they can, and are continuing to improve upon it. Where the vids, and file share are concerned, I am incredibly impressed. It frustrates me to see people pick apart, or ask for more from the very features of this game that make it ground breaking. You can't do any of this stuff with any other game out there, and wanting more (although inevitable) is silly.
If you want to view more videos with ease, or share more, just purchase Bungie Pro.
Yet another idiot. Lets see. The Xbox 360 is a computer. A "computer." This computer can be programmed. What, emulate the game on the web site? Create a video file somewhere else but on the Xbox itself? Hello! What are you people? Complete idiots?
Computers can't make real video (mpeg, whatever) files? Why, because Bungie can't be bothered to create one on the Xbox? Have any of you people ever coded? Am I just wrong to think that most Halo players are techies? What, you work for UPS or something? You make more then most techies now so don't worry about that. But, you don't know anything about technology and marketing.
