Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Halo 3 and Bungie.net do not support clans. If you're thinking about Chapters/Groups, these are unrelated to the game, and there are no formal invitation methods.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

There are a couple ways, actually. One, is to post a thread in the Classifieds advertising your group; be sure to include a link, perks, reasons to join, and what the group is all about. Then, there is another option. You could send a private message to people with a link in the text to the groups, as well as an explanation as to what the group is and why they should join.

Please note: The second option should really only be used with friends. Most people here on Bungie.Net don't like people sending them private messages asking to join a group.

This is just a minor example, what some people have used. Say, a bribe. Like, 'First five people become mod' or something of that sort. I wouldn't suggest you do a 'First five people become admin' though, since there are a lot of people out there that will kill the group. But none-the-less, it is something along those lines.
