Stand up for what you believe in, I remember reading too.
I am standing up, so dont tell us to stop complaining. Maybe 10$ is great for you, but its not for me and I am not going to do it, and I am not going to do it everytime someone says it cost MS points to buy something. Enhance my gaming experience from out of the multibillionaire jackass who has the money to do it for everyone at least 10 times. I am standing up by complaining about it right here i am standing up and say I dont believe in it. For everyone who says they are fine with this and what not thats great but theres more people out there who arent seeing this that wont touch, We know what would win. Lack of support for this is the only route. But then bungie will probually come back and lie saying that xbox live has had its big download ever for gaming content. Cause you know what that will be crap, cause no game compares to Halo Universe.
You are not standing up, you are making a ruckus that is grossly unneccessary. People are turning this into the civil war instead of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. No one even forced you to play the game online, that was your own choosing. Halo 3 is quite an enjoyable game with campaign and local co-op alone; remember the days when that's all we had? You can't expect everything for free (don't even bring Sony/PS3 into this, each company can do what it wants with its service).
(This is directed at no one in particular)
You will not win by making a scene. The only way to force change is to refuse to give-in, by not buying the goods. Mouth off to Bungie/MS all you want, in the end it won't hurt them in the least. The only way to hurt a company is to refuse to buy their goods or go to a competitor. That's what the free market is all about.
I say again, if you feel ripped off, then wait. Waiting for Spring will not cause your death. If you can't wait, then go find a temporary job to get the $10. If you protest on the principle, then again, don't buy it.
There is no reason for this selfish display of whining, kicking and throwing a tempter tantrum the community has shown. Get over it, life isn't fair. Either buy the map pack, wait, or don't buy it at all. It's your decision, now make it without complaining like a 4 year old.
Today its 10$ for 3 maps, Tomorrow its 15$ for 3 maps. No one needs to keep purchasing crap to enhance a game that cost almost 70$ to begin with. No one. Period. Go on marketplace for your games played go through and look how much it would cost you to enhance only the games you play right now quite often. IT would wipe you clean, for what a couple hours out of your day. Not right.
That argument is what's called the fallacy of slippery slope. Prove to me the price will be greater the next time around and without justification (i.e. the resources put into the product). I bet you can't. Get a better argument.
No one is forcing you to buy any of the content. It's there for those that want it, otherwise, ignore it. Do you see me buying cars for PGR? No, because it doesn't interest me, nevermind the thought I'm sure people have that they should be included free (or where on the PC they are released seperately free). You have no right to get anything you want from these companies. They are providing you a service, whether you wish to take it or not is up to you. Just because it exists does not entitle anyone to it.
I know more goes into this game than a regular xbox system. But two maps 4$ last year. The three maps I think was the one with relic was 5.99 if i am wrong so be it. There has been its price hike. Much like everything else in the cost of living. Milk is almost 5 damn dollars here and last year it was almost 3.50 a gallon. You cant tell me the prices wont rise with the price of living.
