Man there are too many -blam!-es -blam!-ing today. Like none of your can come up with and extra $10 over the next 3 weeks! PAN HANDLE FOR GOD'S SAKE. It's $10! That's cheaper than a movie! Than a single meal at a restaurant! Than a pizza! Thing is, all those things are immediate satisfaction that goes away. Food only happens once and then is gone, you can't go into the theater again without paying again. The maps are YOURS FOREVER for the same price, and when you get bored of them, forge them and they're fun all over again! I think $10 for that kind of fun and accessibility is a steal, and trust me when I say I don't have all of the money in the world, but i'll work an extra hour at work just to snag these maps.
And as for bungie being greedy and cheap, GO TO HELL YOU MORONS. Do you know how much overhead it takes to make and maintain a studio on the cutting edge as their's is? Not to mention Microsoft still snags a pretty good chunk of that money as publisher. It's not like every single halo thing you buy feed's directly into their pockets, there's producers, publishers, factories, suppliers and tons of middlemen, all taking a piece of the pie. So most of the time when you buy something, Bungie as actually making pennies on the dollar. Now that doesn't mean Bungie is a poor, destitute company in ANY way, but they definitely aren't as rich as you all seem to think. Then take the money they did receive, take away all of their empleyees salaries, cost of operation, maintaining and upgrading systems, and still having enough money to try to produce a new game and keep those costs going before the final release of that new hit, and you see why they need that money. When a game company makes a game, they are not making a profit until the game's release. So between the release of Halo 2 and Halo 3, what they had in sales from halo 2 and its DLC was the only money they were making directly to pay for all of the production costs I just mentioned. So now if you still think your -blam!- $10 IS STILL TOO GOOD TO SUPPORT A COMPANY THAT MAKES GAMES YOU PLAY AND LOVE THEN YOU ARE A REAL CHEAP-ASS MORON. It's not them begging for more money, they worked hard on this -blam!- for months and you all shrug that off like it isn't worth the price of a movie that lasts 90 minutes? Goddammit, I'm poor and scrape by, but some people are too cheap even for me....
Meh, wait until spring to get them for free, if they even do that, it just means less -blam!-head noobs to bother me.
Good work bungie, can't wait for more!
