I saw on the site the release date for Halo2, but that's only for XBox.. I personally don't want that piece of -blam!-, and I want it on PC. Any one know of any planned release date for Halo 2 PC to come out?

Yes, I can imagine Halo 2 on PC if they actually ported it correctly this time and left the content well enoough alone.

Actually, the PC is the best system ever, both in terms of versatility and power. Name one thing that is better than the Xbox (other than price), and I'll give you a cookie.

PC games are high-definition by, well, definition. 480p? My PC and monitor run at 1600x1200; more than you will ever see on Xbox.

Think graphics are better? Look at the Unreal 3 tech demo on Fileplanet.com

i hate it when people say that halo pc is better because "its easier to aim" it takes all the freakin fun out of the game if its just point and click shooting

xbox has a more organize online gaming service with built-in voice over IP, once i see those features on PC id probabily play more PC shooter online. BF2 is the only that says they are going to have voice-over IP.

hahah this is a rediculas conversation. First I dont think halo2 will ever come out for pc because they said its only on xbox and second pc isnt f u c k i n g as good as any system consel because you have to pay a -blam!- load of money just to play a game to the fullest of graffics, and third halo for pc doesnt come close to the xbox virsion because the controler makes it ten times better.

Well, the Xbox is alot easier to move around, instead of having to carry a big speaker, moniter, and tower system, there are like 5 times more cords too. Also, multiplayer is alot faster on the Xbox Live then on MOST computers, due to the need for a high-speed connection, so there are alot less chances of lag. Lastly, split-screen is alot more efficient on consoles obviously because of more than one controller. PC games that actually have split-screen(which are usually crappy flash games) are a bigger hassle. PC dominates the Xbox in terms of downloadable content, definatly, but not in terms of general gaming performance. Plus, it costs ALOT less to just buy an Xbox than buy a super-expensive gaming PC, with a high-end graphics card that is over $500 to match the Xbox's performance.

if you have a great pc and an xbox, as i do, you will obvioulsly see that the pc is better and you can infact buy an adapter to plug your xbox controler into the computer if you so desire.

I agree that the xbox is by far the best console, and the only way to play games, but the PC is fun too when you're bored of xbox... it isn't as powerful, but it's still damn good

You are fools. Halo is only even on Xbox because greedy Micro$oft bought Bungie and basically forced them to make it for Xbox, not PC. It was announced in '98 as a Macintosh title for Chrissakes! It should be Xbox lovers leaving...

Also, there are some computers the size of GameCubes - they are very powerful, though not as powerful as regular ones. Also, LAN parties are far superior to split screen because you don't have to worry about system resources and "cheaters" who glance at your patition. I could list the reasons, but I really don't feel like it.

BTW, Bungie has made games for PC and Mac before, Halo 2 will be the first deviation - if it is not released on PC.

Well, in retrospect, I'll offer this as an explanation for my zealous defense of the PC as a gaming platform (and a hell of a lot more):

I have this system coming in the mail:

# Aluminum X-SuperAlien CASE 500W & Window (BLACK)
# AMD ATHLON64 FX 53 Processor ~ CAF601
# Asus SK8V VIA K8T800 Chipset AGP8X w/LAN,USB2,IEEE,
# (Athlon64FX)1GB(512MBx2)DualChannel Registered ECC PC3200 DDR400 Memory
# Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM Serial ATA 150 8MB Cache WD740GD
# nVidia GeForce 6800 ULTRA 256MB 8XAGP
# COMBO DRIVE(DVD-ROM & CDRW) (RED)
# NEC ND2500A DVDRW/CDRW DRIVE (RED)
# (BLACK) ViewSonic® E90FB 19 INCH .22H MM SVGA MONITOR
# Creative Labs SB Audigy-2 ZS 7.1

Your thinking too much just go take a rest, because your the only fool here thats stupid enough to spend so much -blam!- money on computer games and grafics cards. To me its easier just to buy a system so you dont have to worry about spending so much money on something that is awfull.

To all who dislike the PC and those who oppose Halo 2 for the PC:
First of all the PC is the absolute best device for gaming ever. Its many parts can be perfected to their greatest, for a price of course, in which the gamers receive the best experience possible. PC gaming is not merely a form of entertainment, but a passion. When owners can upgrade and edit their machine in any way they desire a deep personal relationship is formed between them and their PC. It is because of this that Halo then becomes a passion as well. This sense of relationship and passion is not an exagerated lie, but a vivid truth.
As for the PC controls being "point and click shooting" this statement is most false. Have any X-box fans ever even attempted to play Halo with the mouse and keyboard on the PC? If they have then they will know that it is no easy task to master. Mastering this is a great acheivment, in which many have already completed. For instance the 2222 Halo PC members online right now. Yes 2222 Halo PC owners are online at this moment, edulging themselves in one awesome experience. To deny them Halo 2 would be the utmost punishment any passionate and dedicated gamer could ever endure.
Lastly for those who oppose Halo 2 publication for the computer I ask them one question. How would you feel if Bungie decided to publish Halo 2 for the PC alone and not the X-Box? I'm sure you would be crushed and most saddened. These negative feelings are the same many PC fans fear they will experience at the confirmation of Halo 2 as an X-box exculsive or at having to wait years more for Halo 2 on their platform.
I speak for PC fans everywhere and strongly urgedthose who oppose Halo 2 for the PC to reconsider. More especially I vehemently beseech Bungie Games to releive us of this tension and validate that Halo 2 will in fact be released for the PC. Until then the decision is up to you................
