Gz, I'd kill the whole world for you

Well, when I saw the title of this post, I laughed for a full three-quarters of a minuet.

Short Answer: No.

Long Answer: Yeah, No.

~~Pardon Our Dust.~~

This goes against the foundations of human rights!

This part made me laugh. I read the rest, but after this line, I can't take it too seriously.

I like our system. The rules are in place, and there's no possibility of accidentally putting someone in the electric chair when they didn't commit the crime. Your account clearly breaks a rule, in writing. All the evidence is there, you get banned.

We don't need some silly court system. This isn't a democracy anyway. It's Bungie.net.

Ah, look at the lonely people...

You have no clue how long this would take to do for EVERY ban. The mods hand out tens, maybe hundreds of bans every day.

This is totally impractical and I'm going to have to say no.

Show me a society where I can break any and all laws, terrorize and abuse other citizens, and the judicial system only files charges against the clothes that I was wearing at the time I committed the crimes. I can let them put that set of clothing through the judicial process and all of the hoops involved and once that set of clothing is convicted and sentenced, I simply go to my closet, put on a new pair of pants and shirt and can resume my reign of terror.

So, are you telling us that between the time the files get charged against your clothes and the time your clothes get convicted and you put on new pants and shirt, we don't have to wear anything.

If so, I will accept any and all charges against my clothes.

I agree with others when they say that this must be a well thought out joke.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I really can't see how anything can be justicized here.

While your system is fair, IT'S NOT FOR B.NET! This is a fansite, not a country. That system would make bans and blacklists far, far longer to hand out which won't do considering these spammers and idiots need to get punished right away, not next year. Also, the system is far too complicated to be used on this fun site. The current system is great. Why make it complicated?

RCG: In ur base, steelin' ur flagz. | Watch the demo, then join the carnage!

That's far too complex. If anything, I'd like to see more bans handed out, for smaller infractions. >_>

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

Sorry, wrong button...Ignore this.

I'll be on my own side.

The fact that the OP hasn't said anything else leads me to believe that he's just having a good laugh because people took such a ridiculous idea seriously.

At least, I hope that's what he's doing. Honestly, I'd love to know what went through your head as you typed out that massive Fomanian block of meaningless text. It's an Internet forum. For Christ's sake, the newest top story on the front page said "We show our junk to Halo3.Junk.ws and when it comes to junk, our junk is funky", and the people who work for the company have names like "Thug Larz" and "Phlegm Brulee". Why would you take such a site so seriously? Not to say that Bungie's employees are non-professional, but come on, these things should give you hints that this place is laid back. It isn't a lawfirm or something like that.

Lighten up.

There is a reason I am user ID 1 and my account creation date is before this site came online.

You know Fo, there have been numerous times where I have waged holy war against the 10k character limit myself, and yet I don't seem to receive the same verbal abuse as you. Strange?

Can I be a circuit court judge? Or is that slot taken? I'll be the 9th district...they's crazy out there!

There already is an appeals process in place.

- Get banned
- Appeal to Achronos
- He talks to all involved and decides whether the punishment fits the crime

I know, because I've thrown myself on the mercy of Teh Court of Achronos a few times.

*slips Achronos a crisp Washington and bag of Funyuns*

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Foman's right.

It's one thing to insult Foman for typing something large, but it's entirely different to insult Foman for someone else typing something large.

  • 11.30.2007 9:56 AM PDT

I'll be on my own side.

I didn't insult him. And I don't think a lawyer needs someone to come to his rescue, trying to show me right from wrong.

I said it because it was a massive block of text, like Foman usually does. And for the record Foman, I have nothing against lawfirms. My mom works in one.

Haha sorry if I was misunderstood. I wasn't taking offense -- I knew you were just poking fun. That's why I put the little smiley face in there.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Emoticons: Sure, they make 40 year old men look like excited little kids, but where would internet sarcasm be without them?

Note: If you could go ahead an read that with the tone of a demotivational poster, that would be just great.

Note, part deux: I have no idea how old Foman is. I just picked a number that seemed like it would give me a reasonable amount of time before I had to look back at the and go "doh!" 30 doesn't seem quite as old as it did five years ago. :/

What about the time you said to me "You know what Pezz, I hate two things in this World; You and lawfirms." and I tried reasoning with you but you just spat in my face.

Anyway, this thread has sort of served it's purpose, I'm locking it.
