Sorry. I didn't mean to offend. But, from the outside looking in you get a better view than looking from the inside.

Yes, but only if you can actually see what's going on inside. It's hard to remove territorial biases no matter where you are from. There is a huge disparity between a stereotypically American conception of the American psyche and a stereotypically European (generalized) one. I'm not saying either is completely accurate.

Anyway, Communism and Capitalism are both socioeconomic systems; neither are forms of government. You are right to distinguish between Communism and autocrative forms of government. Anyway, I don't think a democratic government makes much sense in general. But especially here, in a niche community, a more autocratic government makes a lot more sense than a democratic one. My reasoning is simple: expertise. The experts on any subject should be in charge of (or at least greatly influence) making decisions regarding that subject. Why let a newcomer have an equal say in something they know very little about? It's a lot like actors voicing opinions on foreign policy...

To a mod: Would a discussion of socioeconomic systems qualify as a political discussion? Or is that rule in place to avoid promoting specific candidates/causes?

-The discussion applies to bungie.net community so would they would let it slip ? : )
-And of course we generalize. Generalizing is neccessary sometimes when we don't have time to look and explain every detail in a full way. We have to make do and solve problems fast or there are consequences. You see how problems like global warming and HIV have a time limit so we must generalize ?

PS: A country is like a glass house and you know that old saying. People in glass houses don't throw rocks.
Well because of modern media all the glass is very see through now. Maybe except North Korea's glass.

Oh, I didn't mean that generalizing is bad. I was just noting that there are many different perspectives on the American psyche... I was just comparing the American conception to a generalized non-American one... I just wanted to point out that no matter where you are from, the information available to you is generally spun according to your location. Rose-colored glasses, and many different colors as well, if you will.

Maybe except North Korea's glass
Lol.

Just as group founders aren't considered special, topic starters aren't special here. All you did was start the conversation.

Mom says I'm special no matter what I do.

I agree that we are all equal here and group founders are not special. I do really enjoy groups, and I am glad that Bungie allows us to have them.
