i think it'd be nice if a person was online the site would tell you. The reason I and a few other people in the community like this is because of contacting forum moderators. If we knew which ones were currently online then for example lets say i want to report a thread that should be locked. i would know what moderator to send it too because i know he/she is online. If this idea ever gets put into the website there should definetly be a setting that lets you appear offline if you don't want to be shown as online for those that wish too. Please tell me what you think! thank you

A good idea, but there is one major flaw; the only way to tell if a user is online is through the WLID.
If you look at the mod stalker, you'll see that it can only tell when they last used the site, NOT if they are still using it.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Perhaps there are elements of WLID that kd5shw didn't know about, or have access to. I'm sure there are some benefits of being an actual site administrator that'd get you more...advanced tools and implementations from the same framework. It could very well be done, from a more professional programming standbpoint, rather than a recreational programming one.

That's the only way we can see if they're online. I'm positive this forum has the capabilities to tell you if someone is online.

I'm not sure why we don't have that feature, though. Maybe Achronos is scared people will stalk him.

More.

Frequently.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Our profile pgaes used to dispaly the last time we logged in, so that was a pretty accurate method of determining who was online. KD5shw actually coded his site with that in mind, since it was the most important part of it. It did not survive the major update though.

No comment on the other issues...

It would be nice if you could hit the "Summon Ninjas" button in a public thread. Just to alert the most active online ninja(s) available.

Do you have any idea how much that button would be overused by angry 12 year olds? One simple disagreement could spark dozens of bannings. Also, it would be too much for the ninjas. They believe that we are smart (hopefully) enough to settle our differences and just enjoy playing Halo 3 and what not.

What if we had a feedback meter? Then we could know when to be trusted. We could also have it set so 5-10 different users had to "push" the button to get a ninja PMed.

Why don't you just give me ONE SECOND!

Most of the Ninja's have their MSN address in there sigs or somewhere on their profile. Get that or ask some. Most of them will give it to you. (For your contacting methods)

For the thing about seeing who's online:
Maybe a little thing beside your avatar beneath "More Posts by This User" and above "group membership". Something that says "Online now" and a green light or something. Idk! That'd be neat.
