Subject: Who will buy Halo 1 when it comes out on 4th Dezember on Marketplace??

......no I'm not selling copies of Halo PC...

I'm just saying cos it's such a better game than Halo on Xbox...hell I might even go as far as saying it's a better game than Halo 3! (Mostly because the maps completely kick ass). But people are so wrapped up in Halo on Xbox's, they just never experienced the true Halo experience that is Halo PC.

And even if "nobody is tryin to hear it", well they should cos it's 10x better than Halo on Xbox

I'll acknowledge that PCs are generally better for FPSes; the mouse/keyboard combo provides superior control. However, I find console games more fun, and playing a team game in the same room, on the same screen, also adds an additional social element. My computer is better than it was when I originally tried Halo PC, but it did not run well on my computer at the time. My computer wasn't that bad either; it was certainly well above the minimum requirements. That being said, I haven't tried it recently, and I have been considering it since Halo 3 has not been an acceptable online replacement.

I would argue that the "true Halo experience" would be the original Halo experience, and that would be Halo on the Xbox. You said that Halo PC is 10x better, but critics say that it is about 1.11x worse. The average rating for Halo PC is 86.2%, but the average rating for Halo Xbox is 95.5%. I'm not saying that you're wrong on all of your points, but your experience certainly differs from others.

"You said that Halo PC is 10x better, but critics say that it is about 1.11x worse." That may be true but halo for computer has far more possibilities. Halo Custom Edition Blows any halo for Xbox out of the water. In halo for PC there were tons of maps and things that didn’t come out with halo for Xbox. You had Timberland, Death Island, Flamethrower, Banshee. Check this website out it has tons of cool stuff that will show why Halo for PC is better. Halo for PC has the original halo experience and more. You can either stick to the classics like blood gulch or you can have loads of fun in cold snap. That’s why Halo for PC is 10x better.

Check out Cold Snap it HUGE. The big bridge in the middle can fit 4 wart hogs on it.

Halo Custom Edition ( the real Halo CE) is pretty cool, and I wish I could have it on the Xbox. The Halo Maps releases added some of those maps and such, but that would of course require a modded Xbox. When Halo first came out, I wanted the Banshee in multiplayer, but after playing games with it, I changed my mind. I'm also not much of a fan of the flamethrower. Timberland on the other hand is undeniably sweet.

Halo PC has its merits. I don't deny that, but it also has its problems. Last I played it, my computer was well above the minimum requirements and yet it ran pretty poorly. It's glitchy. It adds banshees, flamethrowers, and fuel rod cannons. I don't really like any of those additions. Also, while a mouse/keyboard combo is more accurate, I find it less comfortable. Using a controller on Halo PC would be a bit of a disadvantage. Team games where everyone on your team is in the same room, playing on the same screen, are a bit more enjoyable (especially in CTF). Halo Xbox LAN parties are far more convenient. New maps, user-created maps, and online play are great features, but ultimately I find the console gaming experience to be superior.

I am familiar with halomaps.org. Cold Snap in particular, I'm not familiar with, but I have seen some pretty cool maps.

I would, but most of my time spent on Live is with Halo 3, so I figured it'd be a waste.

I'm buying it because when I was in 6th grade or so and Halo 2 was coming, I sold it. Stupid me. Oh, how I miss my pistol and BLB.

Why would I pay for something I already own? I'm not in that much need of gamerscore points, gamerscore doesn't mean anything to me.

It doesn't have achievements anyway.

It's a matter of opinion, perspective, and preference in what people enjoy, but I think PC games can be just as fun if not more so. People can have LANs with PC games (although it's less frequent as it is within console games) to enjoy that same social aspect.

Yeah, but that's not a good thing when like 3/4 of the user created content consists of flying warthogs that shoot other flying warthogs. Granted, there are mods and maps created by talented people that rival Bungie's original product itself, but for every respectable creation there is some ten-year-old who is amusing himself with an assault rifle that fires plasma grenades, and, thinking his work is sheer genius, spreads it on the Internet for others to taste his bland, unoriginal, uncreative content.

Exclusive content won't necessarily make it a better game, and not all the maps are jewels. (See Infinity.) Also, I hate Cold Snap. What if it's big? That's a good thing? (Again, see Infinity.)

Halo PC was also a performance hog when it first came out and it was really glitchy, lacking and disappointing in ways like implementing the netcode which forces players to lead their shots. It's less perfect than Halo was when it came out on the Xbox. It added more content, expanded itself, but also opened up some wounds that could have been better without.

Obviously PCs have LAN games. They existed long before the Xbox. I've been to PC LAN parties; it's a much different experience. It's fun, but in a different way. It's also much less convenient. However, I'm talking about a team playing on the same screen, not just the same room. That element is missing from PC gaming. It doesn't bother me as much in slayer, but I do prefer to play on the same screen as my team in CTF games.

I can definitely agree with that. Although, I don't mind leading my shots.
