Why don't you level 50's out there, when you finally decide to apply for colleges...why don't you put that you were a level 50 on your application. And put it on your job resume, too. See how much it matters, and how much people care.

Ok i did a quick search but its hard to find under the H2V threads

I'm having a problem where every server I join I lag retarded, like the bottom right corner shows the the Ethernet jack with the x over it. every 2 seconds, but only when I'm moving.
the reason this is weird is because I have newer more demanding games ( hellgate London, Halo 3, C&C 3 etc) and they don't like this.

Note: ive joined servers where i had a ping under 50ms and it still happened

I have the ports forwarded on my router and there is an exception rule in my fire wall so I have no Idea whats going on.
any help is great.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Maybe it's the servers you're playing on. On the far left of the server browser is an icon that looks like a little computer. It means the server is dedicated, not hosted by someone playing Halo PC. Most times you'll get a more reliable connection from a dedicated server, but not always. Also, try turnning your network settings down in the game options. You might have them set too high. Other than that, I can't think of any reason why you should be getting the connection trouble icon on your screen.

Lower your network setting? What? Make sure to join servers with lower pings as well.

You aren't the only one with this problem, I'm having crazy lag spikes on every server I play on. My ping shows that It's at like 66 most of the time unless I'm on a crowded server with rockets, but it still jumps around like crazy. I'm playing on a desktop with an AMD Athlon 64 4000+, 1gig ram, GeForce 7900GT, running everything at full settings. I'm also running on a 3mbps connection so I know it's not that. I always go on a game that has low ping, so if anyone has any advice please help me out.

The only problem with that statement is that it is, in fact that. Lag spikes don't come from your graphics card or processor... You are probably on a really unstable wireless network.

Well I'm on a home wireless network and have tried connecting the wire as well. I sure it's safe to say it has nothing to do with my network also considering this is the only game that lags like this for me.

same, i've done both wired and wireless same problem. i would think its my connection if i other games lagged but pretty much no other games lag like this. not consistently and not as bad

Did you have any back round programs running? Widgets? Also could be that the servers or hosts don't live close enough to you, that always makes me lag. =\.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Allow Halo access to the internet through the firewall.

i have exceptions in the fire wall, ports forwarded. nothing running in the back ground ping as low as 20 all resulted in the same issue.
