The Marty Army

Ah, look at the lonely people...

I realize that someone's gonna tell me that Firefox 3.0 is still beta software and is unstable, but I've talked to a friend who's running the same software as I and he says he's not experiencing this. Pardon the terrible JPEG compression, but, in case you can't see, it seems that Firefox 3 (at least my local copy) is rendering the semi-transparent black overlay on the homepage rotator in front of the text and link. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance still. I've tried everything I can imagine; I've updated everything, cleared my cache several times, all no no avail.

Is anyone else with the 3.0 beta experiencing this?

Firefox 3b only focused on one main aspect, and that was the horrible memory consumption the previous versions used. The rendering engine has not been significantly altered since the previous version.

Beta, unstable, etc.
No, really, stick with v2 until 3 is out of beta.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

I just downloaded and installed FF3b, and it looks like I get the same bug.

Since it's beta, it's not going to get fixed on B.net's side, so you'll either have to deal with it until mozilla fixes the problem, or FF3 goes full release and B.net fixes the bug, or just use FF2 in the meantime.
