Pay attention all of you -- especially the young ones that are about to, or are just beginning to drive. A car is a dangerous thing. Treat it with respect, and take care while driving. Remember - when you're behind the wheel, you become a 3000# bullet.

A good friend of mine flipped his car while 3 others were in it with him. Luckily, the worst injury was some broken rips and some kind of twisted vertabrae -- but I saw the car -- they got off light.

Be extremely careful guys.

Glad to see you're OK Mike.

Three cheers for a survivor, but Jim is right. Although it might seem funny now, think of what could have happened if you ran into a tree or crap like that. You are amazingly lucky, and so are your friends, so go play the lottery. Please, don't drive while you are asleep. It's bad for you. Next time, have your friend drive.

On the bright side, I'm sure he would have been able to play several supporting roles in a Western afterwards. Scalped settler #1.

Seriously though. Scary stuff.

i had afreind he fell asleep at the wheel while on the highway and ended up on a block perfectly parked.

i feel asleep for a good 6 sec going 80 MPH on a freeway. Not that smartest time to fall asleep but im just happy im ok. The after effect of it are what hurts me. During it when the car was fliping and you hear the windows and car crushing... Thats pretty cool. Right now im on a good deal of drugs so i feel alittle "happy"....

Im not about to start preaching about how seat belt are important, but it saved my life. And you dont relize how important they are till one saves you from death.
I could have easyly took mine off for the fact it was a sunday morning and no cars were on the road. But your life can change in 1 second. Always were it.

If this is the post for horrific crash stories, then I had to watch as my cousin scraped the top of his head off going 30 in an upside down car. Don't drive. Ever.

Yes, be extremely careful when you learn to drive. Be like an old grandma until your about 17, then you can start doing less-safe things (when there arent people around, like in an empty parking lot), like learning how best to hang the tail out on your car in freshly laid snow. Thats what i did =), no ticket, no crashes, I only do it on wide streets in the early morning and make sure that no-ones around, but when you hit a corner right and hang the tail out in a minivan, coolest thing you'll ever do....

Alright, I'm sorry, but I have to make a joke out of this.

Defensive Driving, is the best driving, but it's seriously scary to think of how many people act when they get behind the wheel, and then to think of how easily dangerous the road can become. But I don't have any first hand experiences, which I'm glad for.

Yeah. It's scary to think that anyone with a driver's license(who are all, in fact, human) can get behind the wheel of a 2 ton behemoth and pilot it at 50MPH down the road.

I was in a pretty bad car crash when I was 11. Let's just say I'm extremely lucky I escaped with the small amount of injuries I had, much less surviving.

"My knee is bleeding, can I have a bandaid?" "Today its your knee, and in 10 years it'll be your wrists, why are you making this my problem?"

Do this again and I'll brand your ass with the banning prod

Dont drive when you have been to a party and feel really happy.

Three guys from my high school were speeding down a road near my house. The driver lost control, slammed into another car, then hit a tree, then a house. The two passenger guys were both dead, the driver unconscious and taken to a hospital. He's alive now but he had to wake up with his car destroyed and his two best friends’ dead, along with being changed of manslaughter. That'd be awful.
