I was just wondering who he was. I saw him in the demo in the halo 2 menu so I thought it would be kinda cool to be friends with someone that apparently worked at Bungie. So I sent him a friend request and it sat there for about a week and he declined it. So if anyone is friends with him or anything Id like to know :)

Yeah, being 'spammed' with friend invites can be frustrating. Can you imagine how many invites he gets a day? He can't accept them all.

I doubt he is "cool" as you guys would say. But he probably doesn't want to associate with the customers too much because if anything leaked about future projects/downloadable content before it was scheduled, it could cost him his job.

Look what happened with half life 2...the source code was released about 8 months before the released.

That's not right at all. "Doesn't want to associate with the customers?" I took a weekend off of vacation to fly ACROSS THE COUNTRY to go to a Halo 1 LAN at the same place as the one in the special edition DVD. Before I worked at Bungie, I posted frequently both to Bungie.Net and halo.bungie.org. If anything, I'm rooted in the fan community.

The reason I decline friend requests is much more simple than that: I only accept friends onto my friendlist. It's nothing personal, but I've only got so many slots for my friendslist and I'd rather keep them reserved for friends.

What kind of moderator would I be if I didn't associate myself with the fans?

Having said that, here comes the "don't do this" stuff. Messages for specific users should not be posted to the forums. Rather, you should send them a private message by clicking on their name either in the person finder or in one of their posts, and choosing the "Send User a Message" link.

Shishka is cool. I love his sense of humour, and putdowns.
He probly doesnt want to associate with customers too much because mods arnt allowed to have anyone on their freinds list, and i assume hes bombarded with freind requests anyway. I dont think playing with anyone means the source code will be released for halo3. That was hacking, not playing with people.
