Can somebody please post- or link to- a walkthrough for linking my XboxLive Gamertag to my Bungie.net ID? I'm sure it's stickied somewhere, or could be found in a search, but these forums are about as intuitive as it is to link your two IDs. I'm a little bit frustrated.

For some reason I can't create a new topic -.- So I'll reply here.

I can't seem to link my gamertag, and before you gents send me this link or the faq featured on bungie, I've read and done both. I also went through 25 pages of forum posts looking for an answer. Everytime I get to the portion where I log into xbox.com I can't find the area where I need to enter the information to perform the link.

Log in with your Windows Live ID. Just follow the prompts using the info from the credit-card screen to complete the link

I don't get any prompts all I get is brought back to my gamer profile when you log in.

I too am unable to create a new post in this forum (I am able to in other forums though). Basically, I have the same issue. I created a new account on XBL. Created a new WLID account to tie it to. Logged into xbox.com and thought I linked my gamertag to the WLID. In fact, on xbox.com I am able to go to my gamertag page and see all my info (games played, achievements, etc.). I can use this same WLID to log in to bnet, but when I go to my Halo 3 page it tells me I haven't linked my gamertag. So I clicked the link and tried to follow the instructions multiple times & ways, but everytime I log in on xbox.com I am brought directly to my xbox profile page. I've read the Help files and a few other posts re: this topic, but nothing helps. I'm guessing it's a bug, I'm 99% certain I've done this correct (I've linked other accounts before without issue), but I just want to see if anyone has any other input.

Don't send me group invites.

Point of clarification to both people in this thread:

You're using the same email address and password for your Bungie.net login name and your WLID/gamertag right?

If you are using the same Windows Live ID to log into Bungie.net that you use on xbox.com, and the one on xbox.com displays your correct gamertag, then everything is fine. Make sure you play a few games with that gamertag, and bungie.net will eventually notice. In the last 24 hours it will have been a bit slow, but give it a bit. Remember, bungie.net is not directly connected to Xbox Live like xbox.com is, and it cannot directly access that information quickly like xbox.com can.

Oh, and the reason you cannot create a topic is because new accounts are not initially permitted to make topics.

I too have a similar question of sorts if you can answer this Achronos (or anyone with the knowledge): I just recently changed my gamertag, or "edited" it through the dashboard. Will bungie.net recognize this eventually?...But I guess you already answered this, because yes, it is still the same Windows Live id....I guess I will wait a bit longer and see if it changes before I seek further help.

Oh, patience you say. I forgot about that. Thanks. I think I'm fine then.

Oops, my original post was as YourMuted. Didn't realized I logged in on my other account before posting this one. Anyways, thanks again.
